Not a chance do we go 3-0 up in the first half against this Bournemouth team.

The game will be a 2-1, 3-2 game, these are a top quality, well coached team.

He is 22, if he cannot play 2 games in the space of 3/4 days, one of which was against a second division team, he might as well pack his career in now.

I definitely want him to start if he’s physically ready to.

However, Wednesday night is the first full 90 minutes he’s played since May, and he’s just come back from a muscle tear. He looked like he had cramp when celebrating his goal the other night, and limped through to the end of the game.

It may very well be a bit too soon after that to start on Sunday. Even elite athletes can’t always recover in four days to perform again if they’re not at optimal fitness (5 months is a long time without playing a full 90-mins).

The last thing we want is to put him in too soon and he picks up another injury.

It’s never totally random because things like Everton’s ground being used for the Rugby League Ashes this Saturday means that Everton can’t play at home on that weekend so their fixture list has to have considerations.

That also has a knock-on effect for the fixtures of the team Everton were down to play depending on events that may be going on at their ground or city or if their local rival were meant to be at home that weekend. Also, if Liverpool were meant to be at home on the weekend the Everton’s home fixture had been moved to… and then, the local rival of the team Liverpool were down to play may need to be considered if Liverpool have to move a home game to an away game on a certain date.

Also, it’s not the third year on the run we’ve played Bournemouth on Matchday 10 in the fixture list. We did play them on Matchday 10 last season but on Matchday 10 in 2023-24 we played United away. We played Bournemouth on Matchday 11 two seasons ago.

Like everyone I have been very impressed how Iraola has got Bournemouth playing attractive football and getting results and they deservedly sit in 2nd place in the table. When you consider the players who left in the Summer you really need to doth your cap to the job he is doing and I don't think it will be long before bigger clubs including City start looking to poach him. Needless to say we need to be on our A game on Sunday to get a result.

Haaland is bang average most games but is a 30 goal a season man. Marmoush done something that Bobb and Savinho never look like doing and for that alone deserves to start ahead of either.
