I’d go with:

—————————-Donnarumma—————————-
Khusanov———Dias———Gvardiol———O’Reilly
—————————Nico———Kovačić————————
———Cherki———-—Foden——-——Marmoush—-
———————————Haaland———————————

We concede the fewest goals when Dias and Gvardiol play as a CB pair.

Khusanov and O’Reilly are better defensively and we have no idea which side Semenyo will play from.

A bit of solidity in midfield with Nico and Kovačić together. Both can join in with attacks, as can O’Reilly at times with Marmoush tucking inside when he does.

Then let the front four loose as it’s full of goals and creativity.

I don’t think Pep will though. I think he’ll go with Nunes LB, BSilva RW, Reijnders CM, Doku LW.

That's fine, Foden has been playing well. Sometimes the G/A numbers are misleading. Plus, he will compete with Savinho for a starting place only if Pep decides to play Cherki at 10.

Still, both Reijnders and Foden haven't had a goal or assist in the PL/CL since Arsenal and Napoli respectively. It would be nice if that changed today.

I don't care whether Pep starts Savinho or not. Wouldn't bother me either way. He’s a good player.
I'm just not seeing what makes you think he's a good player. Apart from his stats, all I'm seeing is someone who gets in great positions but either makes a poor or wrong decision

The Boys in Blue never give in they fight to the end. Come on City, Come on City. Show 'em lads, show 'em all. Especially the little Cherries I think their flowering season is over and they are going to be gathered by the mighty Blues and gobbled up like turkeys at Christmas. ;-)

Especially the know nowt, alleged media types who don't know an ice hockey puck from a football. The scobberlotching, fustilarians that they are they do no work and get paid for spouting rubbish.

Especially the illiterate fudge berries who call themselves officials, yes official Scuddle butts. They still don't seem to know who we are... We are MANCHESTER CITY THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD. Don't you officials forget that right!!!???

Come on John Boy show them what we are made of laddie. Score a couple of goals. :-)

I'm leaving for the game early today so posting early. :-)

Many things: pace, skills, creativity, etc. Plus Pep rates him. No doubt he should score more goals. But he scored 9 goals in La Liga aged 19 (how many from our current attackers could do it, Haaland aside?), so it's not a given he will be a bad goalscorer.

It's funny that people who have never played or managed at professional level back themselves to know better than Pep whether a player is good enough. When Pep thinks a player isn't good enough, he doesn't play him, e.g., Phillips (or Nunes in midfield).

I like Savinho and don't wonder why Pep starts him. He's quick and good at dribbling, has had more assists for Haaland since the start of last season than virtually any other City player and is only 21.

Savinho was one of our better players vs Villarreal and wasn't the only one who didn't impress vs Villa. More established players looked poor at Villa.
He’s fucking wank.

For a Brasilian, who hasn't lived long in England, I have to say your command of English is most impressive . I commend you most highly for it, Senhor

FFS Alex - watch him!

I think we may struggle against a hard high press. Liverpool will harder I agree. From what I’ve seen this season we aren’t going to challenge for the title. Top 4 is more realistic.
yeah , i agree with you, our own press is far from our best days and with these player will never be the same. Top 4 is a must and then a great summer window to challenge again for all the titles.

:)

Pep is a Brazilian as well.

I can see why many don't like Savinho. Let's see whether he can prove them wrong.

Btw, I think Bobb is more intelligent as a player, but he has regressed recently. The season is long, hope he improves significantly, as I still think he is a bit special.

All things being equal we should have a routine win today.

Be nice to see someone who isn’t Haaland score a goal or two though.

A thundercunt from Rudolph would do him the world of good, and it’s coming up to his busy season so we need him to be on form before he goes out on loan to Lapland FC in December.
