Trying to understand the logistics of this incident. The train was Doncaster to King’s Cross and was stopped unofficially at Huntingdon. Where would the last official stop have been before it was diverted? Would there have been other planned stops between that point and King’s Cross?

The last stop was Peterborough 15 mins earlier.

The terrorism definition is ridiculous.
The act of attacking multiple defenseless and trapped people on a train in such a savage way is nothing else other than terrorising.
The fact that they say this isn't terrorism, does nothing but downplay the incident.
To the point where snowflakes as witnessed on this thread are celebrating that its not deemed as terrorism.

Don't think it was "diverted", just stopped at the first station after the incident, so that it could be dealt with quickly.

What political, religious, racial, or ideological goals were they aiming at changing?

Terrorism charges are there for those trying to use fear and violence to affect a change in a country. And they are specific for a reason.

Sometimes mass murder has no goal past sick fucks being sick fucks.

The definition of "terrorism", in a nutshell, is an act designed to further a political goal. Until we know more, it's hard to say if this was a terrorist incident or not.

But anyone claiming the police have dismissed this as a terrorist action is wrong, as BTP qualified their statement with the words "...at this stage". The attacker(s) had some sort of motive for this, however warped or psychotic that may have been.

These incidents are becoming almost common place now. Something has to be done to try and tackle knives on the streets. I wouldn't object to stop and search wih mandatory custodial sentences for carrying knives in a public place AND proper custodial sentences with no 50% or more reductions for 'good' behaviour. We need a proper program to increase prison capacities and fill them.
