These incidents are becoming almost common place now. Something has to be done to try and tackle knives on the streets. I wouldn't object to stop and search wih mandatory custodial sentences for carrying knives in a public place AND proper custodial sentences with no 50% or more reductions for 'good' behaviour. We need a proper program to increase prison capacities and fill them.

I might be wrong, but i would have thought the definition of a terrorist attack is one in which there is an ideology or religion as the root cause of it,
rather than something that is terrifying to other people.

I would also think that such terrorist attacks are, in the main, premeditated, and for the life of me i cannot see how this incident could have rationally been planned (unless they'd been watching The Taking Of Pelham 123 beforehand).
There's nowhere to run or escape on a train.

And in addition, if their intentions were to cause as much carnage as possible, why stop at 10 people when there's a whole train full of potential other victims?

I am guessing here, but that's pretty much what everyone else is doing so it'd be nice if people don't go mental at me :)

My guess is that a couple of lads were on there way into that there London tooled up, for whatever their reasons were, possibly to buy drugs to take back to Peterborough to sell or simply as mules.

Maybe they were recognised by another rival gang and all hell broke loose.
Maybe someone rubbed them up the wrong way and it got out of hand.

Clearly they are wrong 'uns and as my grandmother used to say, it'll all come out in the wash.

I personally know several Muslims and they all give each other Christmas presents and have a tree up in their houses lol.

I’m sure there’s some hard liner ultra conservative Muslims out there who are somehow “offended” by Christmas but it’ll be an insignificant minority.

I also do a lot of work in a northern town that has a very large Muslim population and given the “true” meaning of Christmas has long been lost, they’re the same as anyone. It’s an excuse to eat like a pig, have a couple of weeks off work watching shit telly and spoil your kids.

No town in the country is “cancelling” Christmas because it offends Muslims hahaha. This muppet on the Isle of Man has read some made up shite on Facebook or flat out invented this story, it’s sad as fuck.

I suppose its possible to be white and of Caribbean decent but in that case they probably would have said 'white'

Isn't it something to do with the Nationality Law or something. Being British means you were born in Britain to a British parent, being British by descent means you were born out of the country but are British because one of your parents was British?

If it's that technicality, it's a bit weird to put it in an announcement with such terminology, but I suppose it had to pass a load of lawyers.
