No bud, I think you’re using rose-tinted’s there. It was equally awful in the days of Brian Woolnough who though himself was an often affable lead for the show surrounded himself by the likes of Barclay, Draper, Wallace, Richardson, Ladyman, Dunn, McIlvaney, Beasley (plus the infamous Spurs journalist whose name I forget - Smith maybe his name was) and the rest of a cast who largely displayed a complete lack of integrity in their dismissive comments about our club and their love-in with all things red.
Edit. The one area I do recall they used to have decent discussion and insight on was the travails of the national team though!
