Kick off time 20:00 GMT.

Fairly quick turnaround, Liverpool on the Sunday but I dont think he'll be thinking about rotating too much, they have Real (H) on the Tuesday, so 24 hours on us.

Maybe get some minutes in Rodri's legs?

Got 2 home CL games before a trip to Real, probably need at least 4 points from both games before that trip.

In the week we played United, Napoli and Arsenal, Pep started the same XI. I think he will make some changes this time. Can see Stones starting this game. Maybe Rodri as well.

It’s too simplistic to say he should play the same eleven because all of them played well today. He very well might do, but it depends on what Pep has in mind when watching Dortmund videos. You could see today that he gave certain people very specific jobs (Doku playing centrally in the first half, for example) based on their strengths and adaptability as players and based on Bournemouth’s strengths.

I’ve not seen Dortmund this season but a quick glance at their results and the only team to have beaten them all season in all comps is Bayern.

But as we’ve seen many times over the years, we tend to do well against German opposition as their playing style seems to suit us and we exploit space easily. Think we’ve only lost once to a German team in eleven years and we play at least one a season.

Dortmund are coming off two more days of rest, having beaten Augsburg on Friday. Looking forward to this one and it should be a good test; a win would see us leapfrog Dortmund and put us in good stead ahead of the weekend. More specifically, looking forward to seeing Nmecha and Couto and how they have developed.

I would go with the same XI, but knowing Pep with Liverpool in mind, I think he might change it up a bit.
He'll almost certainly do a bit of rotation with Liverpool in mind. Depending on fitness issues, you could see the likes of Lewis, Khusanov, Stones, Kovacic and Ake getting a run out. The other option would be to start strong on wednesday, hopefully get a couple of goals ahead by the hour mark, then start subbing.

Yep, they are doing well in the Bundesliga, sitting in 3rd place, and I can't see them being any pushover at City .....

Definitely should not play the same 11. Squad has to be used, same approach and formation but freshen up where possible.

Marmoush in for doku is a simple and likely change, wouldnt be surprised to see reijnders come in probably for cherki who i don't think is fit enough to start 3 games in a week and i'd want him starting against the dippers. Probably a couple of changes in the backline too, had a whole back 4 on the bench todag, any or all of those could potentially slot in.

Donnarumma
Nunes
Stones
Ake
O'Reilly
Rodri
Foden
Reijnders
Marmoush
Savinho ou OBobb
Haaland

Hoping we're leading by two goals in the 60th minute, to bring off Haaland, Rodri, and Foden, replacing them with Nico G, Cherki, and Rico Lewis then in the 80th minute, Khusanov and Ait Nouri will replace O'Reilly and Nunes

reallu surprised Rodri only got a few minutes yesterday, think that tells us he is way off starting. Shame about the set back for Kovacic too.

I think we may see Marmoush Savinho and Stones come in

I think both club and player are still really worried about his fitness or his ability to fully overcome these setbacks, so they're treading carefully ..... after so long of him appearing consistently in City matches with so few problems, we seem to now be a situation where breakdowns or injuries are happening to him all too frequently, and both parties must fear it happening now every single time he steps out on the pitch.

We can only hope that he regains full fitness in time, but it may well take beyond this season ... he' s getting on for 30 years old now, and persistent or bad injuries can 'hang around' a bit longer than they used to do ..... as KDB is finding out at Napoli !

Are they an attack minded team with high line and playing out from the back or more of a counter attacking one? Haven't watched them recently.
Manager Kovac plays a deep sitting 532 in defence,
343 in possession with wingbacks.
Adeyemi on RW can be quick on the break - on his night.
They are strong in 1v1s.

Should still beat 'em, just.

Leverkusen at home should be easier.
