If we do, then so be it. At least we are going into the game with the most logical line up that most would prefer.

Good team, shame we are missing Rodri and Kovacic as this was the perfect game to slot them in next to Nico G. Happy the defence hasn't been butchered to shoehorn in Stones who has been diabolical all season.

Theres no set position. Like Bournemouth, foden Cherki Bernardo and Doku all interchanged. Its fluidity is it strength. And all stayed relatively narrow with full backs giving width.

Cherki spent most of last season catching Pep, Txiki and Viana’s eye playing from the right at Lyon.

Cherki and Foden both played very narrow last week, deliberately to overload the middle with Doku, Nico and Bernardo. Nunes and O'Reilly provide the width.

I like the line up, but I wouldn’t have been too bothered if Savinho had started, giving us a 2 pronged attack, then bring Cherki on in 2nd half, but he’s earned it.

Didn’t even think about marmoush tbh. It is a strange one, he’s obviously not getting in front of Haaland and he isn’t great out wide, he also isn’t getting in front of Cherki/Foden at present for the 10.
