Match Thread | Manchester City vs. Liverpool (09/11/25)

Savinho and Ait-Nouri coming into this, presumably for O'Reilly (injured) and Cherki (looked like he was carrying something?). They've got to match the intensity and speed of this.

We've limited Liverpool to virtually nothing, just in terms of their chance creation from open play, but a bit of good fortune in a couple of marginal moments has definitely helped us.

Liverpool always dangerous. We've got to keep at it.

It's just incredible how easily he goes past them. I know he has other aspects of his game to improve, but I've never seen anyone who's able to skip past defenders that easily. The combination of close control and insane acceleration.
And incredible body strength also. Almost never see him muscled off the ball

Why can’t they get a proper ex city player pundit in who isn’t shite. Micah just says whatever the red fans want to hear.

Of course our 'City ambassador' Micah Richards sides with liverpool over the ruled out goal.
He's not though is he? Used to be on our side, but he's more interested in sticking to the anti-City narrative these days. Unfortunate for him, because he just comes across as an idiot!

We’ve been absolutely superb. Even in our absolute pomp, I struggle to remember us limiting them as much as we have in that half.

Doku was absolutely incredible, they were sucking off that Bradley something silly midweek. I don’t think they’ll be doing it after today.

The only negative there, is the pen miss. The game is over if that had gone in. Just got to push on in the 2nd half, Liverpool can’t live with us. Make them pay.
What makes you think the other goal scoring opportunities would arise after a missed pen ?
Often see it on here but it really is flawed logic.
Now if he missed when we were 2 up that would be a different thing all together.
We've recovered well from that miss. Let's hope he takes his next chance
