Liverpool (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

They say "serendipity" is the favourite English world in the UK and I've discovered this afternoon why.

I said a few times here I don't see this group of players as a serious team competing for anything.

And this bald fraud decides to show me what a moron I am.

Sitting in my corner, ashamed and extremely happy.

Cannot wait for January to be able to come to Etihad and see games again.
I get what you mean. Some of the signings appear to be coming good. Let's see where we are in January.

Reminds me of that Bernebau game - I was screaming at them to stop talking about City fans booking up their hotel rooms for the final...

But that's gone - today was brilliant, nearest thing to a full 90-minute display I've seen for ages. Not perfect, but miles ahead of where I'd dared to think we'd be by now.
May not have been be perfect but if we play like that from heronin we win the league.

It’s becoming ever more obvious to me that Pep wasn’t getting what he needed from his backroom team last season. That game he did where he scratched his head to pieces and appeared on camera afterwards, he looked like a man with the weight of the world on his shoulders and bereft of any idea who to turn to for help.

The whole setup looks so much more “together” this season. Pep L could well be our unsung hero.
Totally. It’s very easy to remember that we haven’t only had a transition in terms of legends quitting, but also from Txiki to Hugo. That we are already playing as well as we are doing is a huge testament to Pep, the coaching staff and the club. Amazing really. We have to expect a dip in form sooner or later but wow how promising it looks.

Like. Nothing to do with the match : )

What an absolutely stunning performance from every one of the players.

Jérémy was clearly the MotM, but none of the others could be accused of having a poor game, though I must admit, I wanted to strangle Erling, after his piss poor penalty.

We gave Littlewoods very little in the first half and the two-goal lead at halftime was fully deserved. They had no answer to Doku's scintillating wing play, and showed very little going forward, either.

They had a bit of a go at the start of the second, but never really looked like threatening. Nico O had the falling pharaoh in his pocket all afternoon.

Jérémy's goal was of the highest quality;a brilliant running dribble, and a thunderbastard of a shot that gave their goalie no chance.

All-in-all, a brilliant afternoon for City.
