BBC 10 O'Clock News - Sports Main Headline - Winner of the Brazilian Grand Prix is British - wonder what it would have been if the dippers had won today?
"Champions Liverpool showed they won't give up their title so easily to Arsenal after a dominant win at the home of former premier league giants Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola's side who are also still waiting a verdict on the 115 charges against them we're made to look ordinary by the dominant reds who could have scored more than three had Salah not missed the penalty given after a correct VAR check. The Egyptian king made amends minutes later scoring a header from a Gravenberch cross.

The sky blues thought they'd equalised with a header only for VAR to correctly call the goal offside when Bernardo Silva was adjusted to have blocked the view of the Reds keeper.

Liverpool's domination continued as Mac Allistar hit a worldie from outside the box in first half injury time. Guardiola looked angry at his players display walking off the pitch.

City started well in the second but the sucker punch came from another superb solo goal from Gakpo.

Slots side are now breathing down the neck of Arsenal. Whilst City, now a former shadow of themselves remain 7 points behind the leaders and questions must be asked about the management as chants of sacked in the morning we're heard during the second half...."

No issue with that from MOTD. Good highlights, showed Slot as a mard arse and gushing from Murphy. Also Rooney slagging Salah off.

Just seen them show the wolves game. An added bonus. I’ll sleep easy, scousers won’t and that’ll do me.

"From there it became like a version of Carlos Alberto’s back-to-front goal for Brazil against Italy in 1970," Barney Ronay in the Guardian describing Haaland's goal

"It carried echoes of that great Carlos Alberto goal from the 1970 World Cup final". Oliver Holt in the Mail describing Haaland's goal.

I suspect the hacks were swapping notes and were too pissed to remember which of them suggested it first.
