7 | Omar Marmoush - 2025/26

Great goal, but his ball control was woeful tonight. Like several others he looked rusty and needs games to get his mojo back.

I like Marmoush and want him back in the team but he needs to work on his awareness of being offside, feels like the flags up for him a lot. Great that he’s making those runs and creating the chances but it’s fuck all help if he’s off
We need more players making those runs. Its hard to make a good pass 5o players standing still

In our team right now, we have Haaland, Lewis, Marmoush and to a lesser and Savihnofinsimg spaces.

Have those 4 on a team and you'd make geniuses of Cherki and Foden. 2 Players always looking to find runners

His touch is never gonna be Mahrez. But his energy, movement, aggression, intensity and hunger for scoring are all welcomed attributes.

Doesn't surprise me he got the winner.

We absolutely must find a way to integrate him into the starting eleven. At the beginning of this season, our biggest problem is relying on Haaland to put the ball in the net. Despite his technical shortcomings, we can't do without Marmoush's powerful shots from outside the box and his goalscoring instinct; he's also the hardest-working attacker off the ball.

We've managed to get the Haaland-Alvarez duo working well in the past, and I'm optimistic we can do it again with Haaland and Marmoush.

Agreed. Willing to make runs and not afraid to shoot. Need that in the team.

He seems like a player where if you build the team around him, he can be an excellent striker (top 10-15 in the world.)

The problem is, we are going to build the next iteration of this team around Haaland, not Marmoush. I think it's fair at this point to say he is not good enough to play on the wing. Pep tried it, but it didn't work.

So the question is now can he play as 10? We have Foden and Cherki who can play there. Cherki appears to be a talented player with unreal upside, and we know Foden can be one of the best in the world when in form.

I just don't see where he fits in this team unless he is okay with getting limited minutes and being a back up.

Thought his game was a bit mixed before the goal but he came up with that bit of quality when we needed it (that we lacked vs Villa). Rusty and still getting up to speed. Still no idea how good he will be for us at this stage but good to see him back and top quality turn and smash for the goal

hoping to see a bit more from this lad in the coming months. He worked hard when he came on against Liverpool but something is still missing a bit.

Will take time for him to settle in but I think this new formation will suit him. He's used to having a bit more freedom so playing with that in a position Cherki/Doku benefit from behind Haaland will really benefit him in my opinion.

It’s worrying for him but he will go to African nations then when he comes back he probably see where he is in this squad, is he happy to hold bench till he is needed? Maybe he will go in the summer and he would be a quality striker for a Newcastle Everton think he’d score 20+ goals for them! Money wise I’d want what we paid for him!
