Match discussion - United (H) - Saturday 15 November K.O. 13:30

V nervous about this one. A win would seriously put us in a title race. A draw would be meh ok, but losing is unthinkable.

Hoping Phallon Tullis Joyce's knock is enough to keep her out of their team for Saturday. And frankly im terrified of what Jess Park might do to us as I expect them target our slowcoaches Ouahabi and Knaak on the left side of our defence.

We absolutely have the quality to beat them but we'll need to be on top form.

Shame theres no sign of Kerolin making a return. She's such a great option to have.

At least Hempo's back. Not heard of any reaction to her sub's appearance at the weekend so hopefully all is well with her now.

Kerolin has been in some of the training photos back with the team so that could suggest there’s an outside chance but probably a bit too soon for her

Hoping that Hempo starts, website shows her training with the team doing ball work.

Oh great! Had been looking out for her but hadnt seen her so thats good to know. Agree the weekend will be likely too soon for her but good to know she's closer to a return

Feel like she might get a start this weekend. Got some minutes under her belt last weekend and her pace on the left will be very much needed

Completely concur on all points.
My gut is that as Jess played 90 mins yesterday she'll start on the bench. Toone & Terland likely starters.
The goalkeeper would be a big loss for them.

Unlike others, I haven't seen evidence of Kerolin (but hopefully we'll find out later). Lily is back after her should op though, so it's possible we may have a full bench without dipping into the next gen for the first time this season.

Andrée Jeglertz has confirmed Grace Clinton, Lauren Hemp, Rebecca Knaak and Sydney Lohmann are once again all in contention to feature in Saturday’s WSL Manchester derby...

Need to make our absence from the CL count in this one. One week to prepare vs 2 days....
Talking of which I note that the away derby is sandwiched between the 2 CL quarter final legs (which could potentially work in our favour). The Ragettes are currently 3rd, but have the harder 3 matches to come.

Sold a pup when we exchanged Clinton for Jess Park. Watched their game vs PSG and we'll have to be on top game vs ragettes, their pace up front will be scary vs Knack and Ouabi

Just because Park is playing well for United doesnt mean Clinton won't be great for us. Way too early to judge given shes been injured. City's scouting and recruitment has been excellent in the last couple of seasons and we were watching Clinton for a long time before bringing her in.

Also worth noting that regardless of the performances Park has put in for United, the players we have in the positions she plays have also been excellent.

Emily Salley article on the BBC website reads like it’s been lifted from the Red Issue. No balance or impartiality required ar the BBC these days - just one big Ragfest.

There is a very strange quote in the article with regard to the anticipated attendance:-

"With domestic men's football breaking up for an international window, plenty of clubs are using their main stadiums for WSL matches this weekend.

City will be keen to build on the momentum of United's mid-week Champions League game, which saw 14,667 fans inside Old Trafford."

Why would City expect to build on the rags momentum. Surely we can build on our own, especially as their attendance was piss poor!

Probably just means they think lots more ragettes will turn up because they won mid week
