10 goals in his last 3 for Norway and 30 in 19 games for club and country so far. Madness.

He's scored 53 goals in 47 games for Norway. Prior to Kane breaking the record, England's top scorer was the granny shagger with 53 goals in 120 games! Yes the Nations League does ensure Norway play some dross too, but it's still staggering when you think of the quality of the rest of the team behind him compared to what Rooney had. Kane's got 76 in 111 now.
 
Hes dragged Norway to the world cup and he is spearheading this City resurgence (might be too early to call it that ;)....I really hope come the end of the season that Erl gets the credit he deserves. If he can keep up this rate of scoring we could be looking at a record breaking season. To top it off, he's obviously a brilliant fella too. So happy he decided to come to City.

I noticed the same thing in the build up to the take.

He was at one point a wrecking ball at PKs. He's just in a slump but (slow international break no news boring nonsensical take incoming) i wonder how it gets addressed. Seems he generally hits it low to the keepers bottom left side. That's clearly the most natural spot for him so I'd guess mixing up the placement would make sense.

I always try to read the taker as he gets ready (and that's from an armchair so of course keepers do as well). As said - of late Erl has looked like a deer in headlights in these situations. Everyone knows he's our taker but maybe we should have someone other than him pick up the ball asap so hes not walking around psyching himself out.

Then as soon as he gets the ball it he can cut a maniacal visage and start Norse death metal headbanging and freak the keeper out before he smashes it.

Just an idea.

The problem he has is if a player has a standout world cup, regardless of the season he has he won't win the Ballon d'Or.

He should have won it in 2023, but because Messi won the world cup, he came up short, despite us winning a treble and him scoring 50+ goals.

Lamine Yamal or Mbappe could have a so so season, but if they win the world cup, history shows they win the Ballon d'Or.

53 goals in 49 games at international level is insane.
Look how long that biddy fiddler took to score the same.
I don't think some people and I include blues in this.
Don't realise just how good this lad is.

I have watched him playing for the national team a lot of times now. His mental strength is immense. Against Austria at home we needed a win in the Nations league. He somehow managed to score 2-1 in the last 10 minutes of the game. When Soerloth scored against Italy, I asked myself; is he content with not having scored? He was not and scored the 3-0 goal. Against Israel he missed 2 penalties. Was he content or trying to redeem himself? The latter was the answer. He went on to score a hattrick. Against Estonia the other night, he followed up Soerloth's goals with a couple more. Against Liverpool, failed penalty then a goal out of nowhere. He has immense mental strength especially when it comes to prove himself and redeem himself. A proud warrior - very Viking like I must say.

He is a man amongst boys in the way he plays. He has all the confidence in the world and why wouldn't he. He's done it time and time again and showed that he can adjust to the situation. When you have a feel for the game you see opportunities present themself. It is a joyful style and something that is rarely seen in sport. To have such desire for every match to be a story of overcoming adversity is inspiring. Because we can all take such lessons into our own life.
 
Part of this is explained by Pep's possession buildup which either has him just being a target man in the middle of a slow possession and the midfielders and wingers being hesitant to make through balls for him in fear of losing the ball. But also hes so fast that he can afford to be behind his defender and not right on his shoulder when starting to make the run and he knows it.
 
He is on track for an 80 goal season. Simply unprecedented. Messi’s best was 73, Ronaldo never got close.
