u18s 4 Sheff U 1 / ( 7 pts from 3 not enough to qualify for next round ) PL u18s Cup.

Nice to see a bit more of more unfamiliar faces. Courtman passed it well, Drake mops up well, Wain and Holt always busy, Oliver and Samba talented in possession,, not heard of Mylo Martin before, looked really neat and tidy.
Thought we've got loads of lads who can play possibly a bit top heavy with artistic type players andi might need a bit more strength or some grafters against a stronger side.
What's happened to Finlay Gorman, has he left or injured not seen him in months.

Gorman is currently injured. He had a foot brace on at the rags away game.

According to City official website we are out on goal difference ?

Strange I was sure when I checked out the rules earlier, It claimed that the top two went through the next stage.

Yep just checked now and what I read was last year's rules which hadn't updated and said the u18s PL Cup best runners up also went through, at the time I thought it said runners up too and nope it was just best runners up but even that's irrelevant, as they've added another group to the competition so the best runners up no longer qualify.

It's definitely weird though how you can win two and draw the other, then still end up getting knocked out the competition but is what it is.

Its a shame that anything other than perfection in this particular group meant we're now out, our crime is just drawing against Palace so the lads can still hold their head high.

Maybe on the bright side it'll help our FA Youth Cup hopes in the long-term, I'm sure the lads will be disappointed with this but they've just gotta move on from it.

We have a better record than 4 of the other 7 group winners so slightly annoying, but it is what it is.
