City should have taken chances. I’m not belly-aching about the ref. The Foden pen was never going to be given(rightly or wrongly) and as for the offside. My view is always regardless who is playing, if it’s that tight then it’s a goal

I've just seen the replay and the still photos. It's a clear and obvious foul and VAR should have alerted the referee. IMO it is also a red card offence.

Yep - my post was replying to somebody who'd said similar, but only mentioning Haaland & Foden.

I was just adding some balance - I'm sure that had we kept a clean sheet, despite all the Newcastle chances in that first half, there would have been plenty on here using it to reinforce their opinion of how brilliant the defence is this season, when it really isn't.

The score doesn't always tell the whole story.

We were unlucky with the decisions but they were marginal. We shouldn't have needed decisions from the referee. We were weak in front of goal.

Well sometimes a ref will give a 'maybe' foul outside the penalty area that he wouldn't give inside.
But that tackle was full on 100% a foul.
If the ref misses it then VAR has to intervene.

The refereeing decisions were hard to take today and something stinks about the offside calls being given onside.
However I was commenting on the team performance and we were outfought all game all over the pitch due to a bafflingly and it's a real weakness that needs addressing.

It’s delusional. Just seen the highlights City have put up. They had chance after chance. We should have scored more but they could have easily scored even more. We just shit the bed away to decent teams and we have no come-back quality. At no point this season have we come from behind.
