Remember when we had players that were truly comfortable on the ball under pressure? We still have a few but they're old and injury prone(Rodri, Kova, Bernie and Stones).

Think Doku is only player under 29 you can pass ball to whilst under pressure and not expect to lose possession. Will note Erling has massively improved this part of his game.
Basically used to be prerequisite to be able to play for Pep, now not needed at all

i dont understand the team selection. its the champions league ffs not the league cup and all the teams are decent. we cant field our second eleven and we’re at home to Leeds on Saturday.

if we win tonight it totally takes the pressure off the madrid game and means we are nearly there in qualifying top 8.

rotate by all means but keep the core the same - why is Haaland being rested. He doesnt fucking run hardly any miles in matches and neither do the centre backs in these types of possession heavy home games .

Fucking abysmal 45 mins and wholly predictable with that starting XI. We’ve seen that performance so many times over the past decade, usually in the 3rd round of the Carabao Cup against utter shite. We are now doing it in the CL.

Marmoush…that’s why he’s not been playing.

Marmoush is the last person to blame for that, I've seen many games where Haaland looked the same, they are not trying to find him when he makes any runs.

They should be embarrassed with themselves & not be able to look the manager in the face in that dressing room now. Slow safe passing & not one of them stepping up & showing the best of themselves .
