The starting 11 had a chance to prove themselves and they failed, never seen an opposition Left back. have so much freedom due to the winger being missing

Just because Leeds is the very next game, it doesn't mean the players were specifically rested for it. I wouldn't be that surprised if we rest some players against Leeds as well because following that we've got 10 games in 33 days.

Haaland, Doku, Foden have all played too much football and they have to be rested at some point.

I don't love making 10 changes and the performance of our second string is disturbingly bad, but Pep & co. clearly felt this game was one we could afford to lose, and we lost.

Thought we were good against Bournemouth and Dortmund to be fair.Tonight told us nothing we didn’t already know. Most those players that can’t get in our best 11 are fucking miles off the level we need. Some utter dross signings.
 
Quite a few people saw that lineup before the game and expected nothing less than the result we got tonight. It was actually a lineup that would have struggled in the league cup against Yeovil.
Pep has totally disrespected the opposition, the competition and even worse the fans who shelled out good money to turn up on a cold November night to watch that utter shitshow. It was an inexplicable decision, i have no idea what he was thinking. More worrying is the fact we have spunked very good money on a whole bunch of players who are clearly just not good enough if we want to get back to the very top level. Worrying times as an injury to Haaland and we are totally fucked as nobody else can hit a barn door. Even more worrying is that disease appears to have started spreading to Haaland himself in the last couple of games.
 
Paid a lot of money to watch a football game tonight, can I sue under trades description act. Awful team selection from Pep, 10 changes! I get players need rotation but not the whole fucking side. This is all on Pep and automatic qualification is looking unlikely now. Another two extra games we don’t need. Need four top players as a minimum in the summer. Top right back, top CDM, winger and forward. Sell Rico and Oscar, ask Spurs if they still want Savinho and time for Ale to go. Fucking pissed of with that performance

The XI - all but one or two will need selling sooner rather than later.

These players will cost not only matches, and trophies, but they will cost us our few good players.

If I’m Haaland I ain’t wasting my career, with that shower!

It’s no small achievement turning arguably the best English squad/team in history to that in under 3 years.

So annoyed tonight! Arghhhhh.
 
For the first time tonight I genuinely believe the time has come for City and Pep to part ways.

It's been shambolic for 18 months now and there's no signs of things getting any better, if anything it's getting worse if that's possible.

There's absolutely no way anyone can say that this group of players are playing for the manager because it clearly isn't the case.

That result tonight was down to the manager, He's now put us in a really poor position going away to Real Madrid next which realistically we aren't getting anything which will more than likely mean another unnecessary play off game that could have been avoided if Pep had of played his best 11 from the start tonight.

That tonight was effortless, gutless and zero desire starting with the manager and then the group of players, 2-0 down and the majority still walking around and no desire to press to regain possession of the ball.

That tonight was truly embarrassing.
 
Wtf happened during that International break?

We looked fooked at Newcastle and collapsed after equalising, admittedly going behind to an off side goal.

I've never known Pep make this many changes for an important game, he usually plays a few we think he should rest.

10 changes for an important CL game, madness.

Put us right under pressure for Saturday with a pissed off squad.

What the fuck does anyone see in Savinho, i'm pissed off when he comes off the bench. Nowhere near being a starter.

Bobb, we had great hopes for him but he contributes fuck all.

Ait Nouri, Marmoush and Reijndeers are underwhelming too.

what the showed tonight is what some people have been saying for over a year..

This squad is nowhere near the quality some people think it is and nowhere near good enough to win anything significant.

Also as suspected, some of our purchases are not the uality required.

RAN - that is the second worst performance by a player Ive seen this season...the first worst was also RAN - he is lazy, has zero drive, his fitness is shocking and he cannot defend....
Savihnio - Id literally give him away free to get him out of the club....absolutely appalling and is (if possible) getting worse.
Reijnders - offers literally nothing...again questionable fitness levels...has zero power or aggression in midfield...offers no goal threat or creativity

Ake is finished and Stones aint far off (as said over summer)

Cherki - too slow in decision making - maybe worth more time but it aint looking good.

Of that starting 11 there arent many id actually keep - Nico Gonzales being the one possible

We wont win anything and that side aint good enough - the recruitment has been shocking

I agree about Erling. He will do next season and if this same shite continues he will be off.

I personally think Rodri has gone too. A complete rebuild needed.
