Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

Had an absolute shocker with that line-up.

The players he picked also let him down because there’s no way they are that bad.

He’ll have learnt a lot about them tonight, so long term, maybe not a bad thing. Might speed up and get a more active few transfer windows coming up in case anyone at the club thought we might not need them.
I’m not convinced about that.

Trafford, RAN and Khusanov - proven absolutely nothing at this level.
Stones and Ake - both finished.
Reijnders and Rico - both shite.
Bobb and Sav - Consistently produce nothing.

There was nothing unusual about the individual performances out there tonight. They played exactly as they had previously. Good teams can carry 1 or 2 players. No team can carry 8 or 9.

Yes Alvarez has been excellent for Atleti, and I don't think attitude was a problem with Palmer, he just wanted to play.
We will never know about palmer.
I wish he had stayed.Ilove nothing more than seeinga lad come through our youth team.
I was brought up watching Paul moulded
Paul lake.
David white.
I went to the youth cup final in was it 86 .
Sat in the main stand.
Lake was my hero.
He was the one.
I hate it when fans get on Lewis's back.
He's a fucking blue doing his best.
He you as a 19 year old living your dream.
My dream
All our dreams.
Peps made mistakes.
Let players go he maybe shouldn't have.
But when he leaves.
Where ever we are in the league at that time.
Remember what he gave us.Hes the best we have ever had.
The best we will ever have.
The best there has ever been and ever will be.
He might not got it all right.
But he loves us.
And I genuinely love him

At least he knows that he fucked up.

Yea thats on Pep. Too many changes and too many players who needed minutes in the same team, so we just weren't at it. Or anywhere near at it

Put it right saturday and see if this one costs us in the CL come the end of the league games. Happy to forget about it in the meantime!

Yep I'm trying to calm down and be more rational - it's only a game etc.

Yet as I reflect I truly believe we need the return of the hard faced Pep - he's trying to be friends with the players on the fringes and it does not work. Long time managers who were once successful all lost the plot because they became too nice to their teams. I want him to tear a strip on some of these millionaires - they play as if it doesn't matter - "I'm ok I get my pay check next week"

I support Pep to return to being aloof and a bit of a twat to be honest. Tough love wins you things.

He’s not fucking stupid, he knew that team wasn’t enough. He said before the game how this is a big game with Madrid up next and then puts that team out…

I’m certain he was proving a point to the board.

Quite fitting in his 100th Champions League game to prove once again he's his own worst enemy in this competition. Has achieved so much for us but has also single handedly cost us on multiple occasions.

Tonight he showed contempt for the supporters and disrespect to the opposition.

Tried to see a plan in that lineup, but there's none.

Pep didn't want to throw the game, that would be mad. Even taking 6 pts in Jan vs Gala and Polar circle away as a given might not be enough for top 8.

Most of all it's really concerning when a manager has no feeling about his players!

We have run into a serious scoring problem and should do everything to get past that asap. Not by weakening the team. Madness, and actually a schoolboy mistake from Pep.

Pressure is huge now vs Leeds. Anybody and his dog says we don't win if Erling doesn`t score - and it has got to the players. At Toon (only Dias and a bit of luck) and now even at home. We have to solve that problem, and quick.

Pep didn't want happy flowers, he once said. We have many right now.

He said after the FA cup defeat to Palace he felt he owed something to some of the players who hadn't been given a chance to play. I'm sorry but fuck players and their sensitive ego's and start playing teams to win every game. Rest one player per game if you need to on a rotational basis but not a whole team.

Don't be ridiculous. You don't harm your own season to prove a point. He simply made a mistake.

Tonight may cost us progress in this competition. I am going to Madrid not feeling hopeful now.
Pep may decide now to play a 2nd XI if he considers automatic qualification beyond us. It would be very costly to go all out for the 3 points for nothing because it will cost us in the Premier League.

I don’t get it, as soon as that team selection came out everyone says too many changes, same with his stupid selection against Chelsea in CL final in 2021. His number 2 etc need to have balls and tell him he’s wrong. I don’t really care about the CL but the way we play is worrying, nobody is afraid to play us even at home.

What point would that be?
I'm bigger than the club, I can do what I like, sack me if you dare?
