The Labour Government

I searched the main manifestoes before the last election, and there was scant mention of AI from the main parties, beyond the usual platitudes. There was more mention now in the budget, but again it's still couched in terms of 'leading' but showing little appreciation of what lies just round the corner for everyone. Youth unemployment should already be a flashing light, and major companies around the world are announcing huge lay offs and no longer recruiting to any great extent. Meanwhile, none of the established parties appear imaginative enough to set out a radical vision for now, let alone for the next thirty years.
Good post. It's the same with the 'Green' revolution. Where are the jobs? They all seem to be in China and we seem to have missed the bus (made in China also). Debate is good but sooner or later you need the do'ers to take control and F***ing do something. Stating platitudes constantly ( I want peace, justice, water, quality of life, social justice ) does not make you a good person, DOING good does.

I think the fact that so many Labour supporters are complaining about Badenoch's speech it suggests that it was very effective and would have gone down very well with her supporters. If the target was Farage or Badenoch or Trump or someone else you do not like would that speech have been ok with you or would you still be complaining it was over the top?
Do you know me boss?

Badenoch’s speech went down well with the clowns in the Commons. Oh how they laughed before they adjourned to the subsidised bars and restaurants with their media pals. She has worse leadership skills and even less vision than Starmer. They are taking us all for fools.
I wouldn't argue with that, my point is that ALL sides seem to enjoy these personal eviscerations of their political opponents whilst suddenly turning into Mother Theresa when they are the victim of the evisceration. I'm not a Starmer fan but he is the only one who actually targetted the policy rather than the person.

I suspect you're right that the Badenoch supporters may have appreciated it.

Whether the more non-aligned people, or less convinced Conservative voters is more important. I think that many will have found it awkward and uncomfortable, and a lot not really directed at the budget, but just unloading at Reeves.

Watching the Commons on TV makes me cringe. It is an outdated and increasingly irrelevant institution, The media, especially the lobby group, are part of the problem. It is all fiddling while Rome burns.

Left, Right , centre - all cunts with no clue how ordinary people live.

What baffles me about the 2 child limit being changed is why just get rid if it? Surely if they wanted to help while still being prudent they could have just increased it to 3 children.
Labour backbenchers wouldn’t have agreed that, and with Starmer having lost all control, they can pretty much get whatever they want now.

Reeves said earlier this year that the country couldn’t afford to abandon the cap. Yesterday saw the borrowing forecast for this year, only published in March, being increased by £21bn. And of course the cap being abolished.

Do you know me boss?
I don't think so. None of us use our actual names or post pictures of ourself (bit like China or Russian bots) so I cannot be sure!

Anyway, I apologise if you are offended for being called a Labour supporter, it was a bit presumptive but my comment was not really directed at you just a general observation.

Its a joke isnt it.

Can't stand any of them. Liars and u turning cunts all of them.

However, talk to anyone like Badenoch did, then you deserve a twatting.

In my world of course.

The short answer then is that you don’t know.
I wasn't asked a question that required an answer. It is common knowledge that the economy has suffered due to ABC.

The Brexit aspect has been reassessed in this report that is covered in the video.

But anything I don't know, I will soon because as we all know.................................

Yet the none political commentators on Sky LBC thought she did amazing. I thought it was the worst response to a budget ever and that’s with all the extra advantage she had with the early release
It was a tactical political budget with a tactical political response. The last thing the country needs at the moment.

Apparently a new independent report by a US based organisation. Whatever the real figure, I'm sure we all agree it's substantial and would go a considerable way to alleviating our present woes.
One way or another, Brexit has helped fuck the country up even more. I can't understand how some people still can't see this. Sure, it's not the only thing that has impacted us but it's impacted us all the same. And I say that as someone who voted for it!

You’re happy to quote the figure as fact, that Brexit has resulted in a conveniently large, round number hit to the fiscal position, but you don’t know anything about the paper, the authors, or the assumptions behind it.

But you still assume it’s correct, and quote it as a fact.

I thought it was much too personal as well but the politically devoted love these sort of confrontations as long as they win. The Wednesday Prime Minister question session is usually followed by a debate on "who won" and who had the "best lines". Insulting each other seems to be the whole point. I'd much rather they play the point not the man.

I'm a Labour supporter,. However, i would love it, just love it if one political party was just honest all of the time. The constant lying, u turns, misdirection and general incompetence has utterly destroyed politics and trust.

yes, I'd agree with that on the whole.

Ed Davey seems to be able to behave.

Also, there was the interesting interlude when Corbyn was leader when he often asked quite polite questions, and the PM didn't know what to do initially as there was nothing to react to.

It also happens when there is something important in question, and as you say, Starmer seems to refrain usually from personal attacks.

Russia are less of a danger to us than the projected £100 billion welfare bill or whatever it’ll be by 2029 will be if we don’t get all these lazy fuckers back to work
So go on Einstein - how is your mate Nige going to get them all back into work? Given that the fuckwit is saying workers are being paid too much money, how the fuck is he going to get people off benefits and into work? Is he going to wave a magic wand or hold a gun to their heads?
