More than what Grealish was bought for that for sure.Serious question to you and other MC fans what valuation you would put on Foden?
I'd go 80m plus.

Excuses. That’s all I have to say. Just admit he isn’t THAT good and it’s fine. Whenever he plays good = top player . When he has a bad game = mental problemsDuring the 23/24 season it really seemed like he was thriving as the player who took control of games and bent them to his will. I lost count of how many games he won us basically on his own, both with and without De Bruyne.
Last night is the sort of game he would have stamped his authority on 18 months ago, two years ago, and taken it away from Leverkusen. But we're only seeing the odd flash amidst a lot of dismal games where he fades out quickly.
I wish he'd just be open now about the problems he's very clearly still experiencing. It's all vague references to off-field matters but that's where the answers end. If he needs time then he needs time, but he needs to let us in.
I'm not usually ITK by any means but I've heard from different people (who aren't connected) about it being digestive issues. There were mentions of him having mental trouble in the media and that other City lads were worried.
But that's basically been it. He's improving a bit from last season but he still looks like he's not enjoying his football like he once did. If it's physical ailments, if it's mental issues, if it's the pressure of performing, he needs to speak out.
His performances are one of many disappointments in the last 18 monthsI think we need to seriously consider moving him out of the centre and back to the right. The right wing is a bit of a phantom zone for us anyway, and he'd probably be an improvement on any other option, but he's just ghosting too much in the centre. And his lightweight frame means he comes at cost defensively.
It's not to say he'll never have a boss game, our score a big goal. But I feel like he plays well at about a 1 game in 3 ratio, and in the other 2 he's either OK or invisible.

I am starting to wonder if the POTY season's second half was just a purple patch. It's not like he's been benched but the performances just haven't been there or more accurately the performances haven't been up to the levels of David Silva/ Ilkay Gundogan/ KDB.
Are we expecting too much from him to just become a ballon d'or winner season in/ season out?
Alternatively, a change of manger could do it too. Pep only has 1.5 seasons leftGoing to get a lot of hate for this, but I think the only way he gets back to the player he was a few years ago is breaking out of the comfort zone and starting a fresh somewhere else.
That's not to say I want him sold, but I just think human beings in general need a fresh challenge when things start to become stale or lives put in cruise control.
Only a few players can stay at one place their entire lives and perform at an elite level throughout it.
He has become almost drunk on success here in my opinion. Won more trophies by the age of 22/23 than most will do in their entire careers.
His greatest highs at City have already occured. Nothing he does from here on in will better them.I.E treble and 4 in a row and PFA player of the year.
yeah ,he most likely isn´t going to be a ballon dor winner like most here predicted 7 years ago and i personally thought he would be a much better and consistent player if he reaches age 25. Still can be a very good and important player at his best ,but definetly needs to show it more.Excuses. That’s all I have to say. Just admit he isn’t THAT good and it’s fine. His best season (by most people - not me, I thought it was 20/21) was the season after we won the treble. So it doesn't quite track that he's gone on cruise control coz he's won it all. He'd won it all and then pulled out a poty season.Going to get a lot of hate for this, but I think the only way he gets back to the player he was a few years ago is breaking out of the comfort zone and starting a fresh somewhere else.

What do you mean, not true? Let's not confuse your opinion with fact. Not true mate.
Within 12 months from 23/24, he won the treble, 4 in a row and PFA POTY. That's when he won it all.
It's been down hill since.
He will never achieve that high again at City and why IMO he would do better at a different club with new and different challenge

He won the treble. (Won it all). Then the next season won the poty and the league.
Was it at that point he decided that was everything he wanted?
Isn't it entirely possible that he was mentally fatigued and injured last year, he's come back and looked better than he did last year which would fit a more realistic narrative than he's "drunk on success".
I said based on how human beings typically base themselves after such success, most have to move away to start a new challenge because they become lost or fatigued within the surroundings they are within.
Their success almost becomes a barrier and burden to more success. Its the climbing to the top of Everest. Where do you go.
Not everyone can be a one club man and perform at the top level for 15 years.
Foden may prove otherwise, but from my perspective he looks a player that needs a fresh start somewhere.
I don't want him sold by the way...
