I just don’t see how the rest is fine, this squad is so overrated.

We have wingers who don’t score, too some it seems like it’s just a minor problem. Defence is horrendous, Nunes has been good this season luckily, but for how long. We create next to nothing and we are soft all over the pitch.

Leeds have one of the worse attacks and defences in the league and they very nearly got something here from being 2 down.

If you mean top 4 than your probably right, but we’ve just spent over 400 million in 2 windows and have barely improved.
 
In a foul fucking mood after that. Pep has fucked with the rhythm and structure of this team too much in the last 7-10 days. Loads of players out of form, our top players lack sharpness. Leeds are relegation fodder and they took the piss for 45 minutes. Papered over a big load of cracks there. Pep is losing the players imo.

Glad we won but something needs to change if we want to be in top 4 and maybe mount a challenge in the CL because right now we are very easy to play against imo.
 
Got off to the perfect start and should have been 4 or 5 up at half-time. 2nd half was awful from us though.

Defensive mistakes from Nunes and Gvardiol cost us but really our forward players (2 shots from Foden excepted) did very little. Doku, Haaland, Reijnders all poor.

Gonzalez and Bernardo battled away well in CM and the CBs were fine. FBs were great first half but less so 2nd half.

We're going to need to improve our play in the next games but it's 3 points and that's ultimately what matters.

What does Reijnders actually offer?
Nunes is a disaster waiting to happen at least once every 4-5 games - we need 2 right backs - teams continue to target him...
We have a keeper who is 6 fot fuck 5 and is a pussy in his own 6 yd area....flaps continuously at crosses.

No balance in midfield - wide open no matter who plays (this is not Nico G's fault - its the rest of the midfield around him.

Little creativity - foden aside....

Our wide options besides Doku are seriously substandard - this causes part of theinbalance in midfield weare seeing.

We have zero running power in midfield (cherki, Reijnders both extremely weak in this.)

Gvardiol has lost the plot completely this season

Celebrate th result with a huge sigh of relief BUT we have serious issues - there is a lack of footballing intelligence in this team - why take a quick free kick at the end to marmoush who then loses the ball and puts us under pressure...how many times in the past have we just played in the corner for a few minutes to see out games but these players are so limited at present.

Perhaps today’s performance is indicative of a team being rebuilt. Liverpool are showing its not easy and it’s took Arsenal years to rebuild.

Today was not good but a sense of perspective is required.

We did win.

That was complacency second half. We thought we’d walk it. Leeds on the other hand were magnificent in their attitude and work rate. Deserved something! They should take heart from that and should survive a relegation threat.
 
We're in 2nd place going into December, and we'll stay there unless Arsenal drop points tomorrow - at which point everybody will be saying the title is back on again.

Showed a bit of grit to win when two bizarre individual errors nearly cost us in an otherwise comfortable game where the opponent hardly managed a shot on target outside of the ones we gifted them.

One of those win ugly games that you look back on at the end of the season and realise how important they were.

Alright, it wasn't fun to watch, but really it's fine. It's certainly not the apocalypse some on here are suggesting.
 
We have a high proportion of soft players that won't put a tackle in. We only have Gonzalez making any sort of successful 50/50 challenge.

As soon as a team gets a sniff that we are losing a few challenges it builds their confidence and we just go into panic mode.

Mixed with a lack of real leaders we fall to pieces when teams have a go at us.

A lot of people say Stones is past it but I think he needs a spell in the first team to bring some composure to the defence that is seriously lacking.
