11 | Jeremy Doku - 2025/26

Our best player at this point. His numbers ain’t that good because we keep wasting his chance creation. He’s creating more chances than Cherki and triple the chances compared to Foden in the last 5 games

Awful today and back to his running into people phase.
That said, he may as well stay on compared to the 2 jokers who came on when he was subbed
Whilst he didn't hit the heights of last week, he was by far our most creative and dangerous player.

Massive improvement at the minute. Could you learn to bag a few please.
Could have had another banger if not for Thiaw's handball.

Let down by Haaland tbh. Big man usually buries the stuff Doku created. I like how the connection is stronger. His connection with Foden has been strong since the beginning.

But he simply has to be more active off the ball. You can't just stand around in the pockets and wait for them to pass the ball. Its insane how many opportunities for a run behind he is missing when his defender pushes up to follow him. Its insane how much he doesn't trust pass masters like Bernardo Silva or Nico to make this pass. Its insane how Pep doesn't address this.

And if all of this is not the reason, then its insane how lazy/poor stamina he has.

Not a great showing, just seems to be missing that energy we are used to seeing.

Think he put in a couple decent balls in in the first half though.

Not the unplayable dipper performance but he still looked dangerous. it was his ball that played in o'reilly who squared it for foden who should have buried it, doku played another wonderful pass in to foden who couldnt quite take it in and put in a couple of other decent balls. Don't mind that kind of game when its one of his quieter days, still dangerous and a threat and could easily have had a hand in a goal or two. He isn't going to produce every game.

Really poor today I thought but I love that he doesn’t shirk away and hide. Always asks for it, no matter how much he’s struggling.

Agree with that. He kept going but it wasn’t a good performance. Started quite well when given license to roam but was back on the left before long and O’Reilly was no real support today.

Even on one of his weaker games, he still created plenty of chances. We almost take it for granted that he’s constantly dealing with two defenders, sometimes even three. I’m not sure how many players in the league get double-teamed that often, and I hardly remember him getting any real support from Nico on the wing. You really can’t blame him, he always wants the ball and isn’t afraid to attack forward. He just needs help on that side so he can actually get isolated one-on-one.
