Media discussion - 2025/26

Also, according to the beebs coverage of the Premier League today, I don't think we actually played a game. Not a single mention of our game anywhere on the main pages.

Also, every other top 6 team's results have been covered on the beeb radio news this morning, not a single mention that we even played... Clear and obvious
You're not looking in the right place. It's here, in plain sight for all to see:

Well, the BBC were reporting them as 2nd this morning, billing todays game as 1st v 2nd and were Chelsea serious contenders now they were in second place.
I listened to the game on 5 Live and the host said 1st v 2nd twice before the game kicked off. The second time he did at least add “before this weekend”

When the Leeds manager brought it up post match about donnarumma going down injured, strange that not one of the media pose the question about other teams doing it over the last couple of seasons,
Strange that no one in the media posed the question "You're in the bottom 3 and some of your fans are publicly questioning your decision making and future. Shouldn't you be talking about that rather than trying to deflect attention from this?"

BBC article entitled:

Arsenal deserve to be clear - but who's best placed to challenge?

So as you'ld expect only 2% of words in the article relate to the 2nd place team in the league.
27 words total. Out of 1236. 1 sentence.

Fucking idiots.

Another nice article on the beeb this morning about who Arsenal's contenders are after the weekends results. We received approximately 2 sentences and were than cast aside
Let them. I'm quite happy to be ignored and give us time to sort out our issues without the headlines.

Writing us off as usual. Just the way Pep loves it. I’m still confident we will be stronger after Christmas. So let’s wait and see.

I'm sure someone has probably asked this type of question on here before but, is there any way we could submit a freedom of information request to the BBC in relation to comments being removed, or being allowed to stay on their site? I'm sure there must be internal conversations that are had, either specific to individual comments, or at a general policy level (maybe eluding to different rules for different teams). Would these be fair game for a freedom of information request?
You can try but you’ll probably get a reply saying they don’t have to provide it as it’s ’journalism’ or some bollocks like that.
If you’re going to submit one, find out how many rags have been on the predictions thing with Sutton. I reckon it’s at least 40%

Look at the state of that caption and on the official TNT account as well...this is what we are up against in the mainstream media
They spent the whole game either taunting Palace fans about what Cuntona did or singing kicking a blue.

Spare a thought for the other teams shown on the table graphic (top 5 only).
Villa got a passing mention.
Brighton - not a dicky.

But Liverpool did - outside of that top 5 graphic.
But neither did Sunderland - who are above Liverpool.

The big surprise was, having mentioned Liverpool, he didn’t discuss United - above Liverpool.

Simple Simon leading with a wankfest this morning on Mason Mount apparently he’s always had goals in him, bollocks he has “a” goal in best part of 12 months in him ffs
Yes another hilarious report from Stone which claimed that Mount "has always scored goals." In fact he has scored a huge 32 goals in 170 appearances for Chelsea and United, very few of them in the PL itself. His record is worse than one goal every five games. Utterly pathetic. Still Tuchel picks him ahead of Foden (106 goals in the same period as Mount) so alls well.

Virtually every song was about City but apparently we are not their main rivals. Ha ha they don't fool anyone. I was in the Quadrant pub near the swamp a few years back and a bunch of village idiots from Somerset were singing "kicking a Blue." I asked them if they wanted to kick me and they shut up!
