Rangers thread | 2025/26

Just imagine for one minute what you lot would have been like if you went through our last 15 years : )))))))))
We would have ended it. You lot are too easily diverted. Statements are like catnip to you.

If we had replaced Kyogo and Khun. Brought in another midfielder as Engels hasn't turned out, yet. I will give him until the end of the season, we would not be where we are either. We both are where we are because the guys who run us put us there. . One thing that unites us, is our own ability to fuck ourselves up. Uncanny.

You're managing of your players, in and out, makes us look like Brugge. And we are a million miles from Brugge. We are no slouches at shit windows either, these last 4 we have really touched cloth. Our scattergun approach really needs looked at.

I watched about 50 minutes of Balikwisha on YouTube, before he signed and knew, didn't think, wasnt guessing, knew he wasnt a winger and to top it all, was pish. 18 months we tracked this guy. I had him sussed in 18 minutes. No harm to the lad, like your Chemitri, we bought them. Someone getting paid, said, hes a player and spent nearly two years trying to get him. Mind-blowing. I have more belief that Chemitri will come good than Balikwisha.

Heartbreaking to see you got rid of those two pricks. That,'s the kind of guy I want in charge of your recruitment. One of the few things that has made me smile this season. So thanks a fucking bunch.

This window will make or break us for a few years. I actually like the cut of Wilfrded's jib. I laugh at the comments on our sites, wanting the Brugge, Bodo Glimpt and a few other managers, that have succeeded with similar, or smaller sized clubs at home and in Europe. As if any of those guys wouldn't look at our European battle scars, our failure to qualify 7 out of the last 9 CL do or die ties. A owner who loves a dictatorship and is prone to psychotic character assassination, would ever consider putting their head on that chopping block. They succeed because the culture, the structure, the strategy is there to support them. We dont have that. Or anything like it. We are also at loggerheads with our board. Real hatred now. They are going nowhere though. Its worse than the Kelly/White cabal. Total control by one man.

Nancy seems a clever strong guy. I just hope he was given assurances he could build a team he wanted. If he didn't, hes fucked. I think he will be backed. Then its his way of playing, that I like the sound of. Been bored shitless too many times watching Rogers shoehorn of death. You are getting better and if you sort our your recruitment, heaven forbid, we need to step up further, we have the money, the alternative is you overtake and pick up the CL wedge. So potentially losing £50-60m in Europe has to come into the thinking. It never has before, that's our worry.

But apart from all that, everything's lovely.
I know you want your club to spend big but for the life of me I don’t know why. Neither of us are going to keep up over an extended period with even the second tier in European competition. Best we can hope for is a similar run to the recent Rangers performances but that’s come to a shuddering halt. Normal service has been resumed.

Let this quote sink in….£65,000,000 only buys you a run of the mill EPL player these days… and the whole panel agreed! You have to accept we have been left behind financially

I’ll probably have missed a few out but here are Rangers ‘big’ money signings…

Flo … £12 million. Nowhere near as poor a signing as some like to claim but that was a British record between two British clubs

Chemitri £8-£10 million depending who you believe. Youngster but looks miles away from making it

Ryan Kent £7 million. Decent enough but ran down contract and left for nothing

Ridvan £5-6 million. IMO a downgrade on Barisic and nowhere near a Papac

Michael Ball £6 million. I still laugh at this one. Dreadful signing

Daniel Provan £5 million. Great player but we signed him when injured and didn’t play a single minute for the club

Oscar Cortes £4.5 million. He’s so good we’ve loaned him out to a club paying a fraction of his wages.

I don’t know enough about your signings but I know your last three ‘big’ money signings have all been duds. CCV bucks the trend but he’s the exception that proves the rule.

It’s nothing to do with the money you spend but who you spend the money on. Don’t have exact figures but I’m sure Lubo and Larson cost less than a million

I dont want to buy big, I want them to buy better. We got some great players for heehaw. But sometimes you need to offer at least a third of what the ckub values their players at. Hopefully Nancy will be able to sign good players he knows from the MSL, like Ange did from the J League. Just buy guys who are players, but sometimes clubs want a realistic offer.

They never fail. Every week you think it can’t be as bad as last week but somehow they manage it.

Disappointed in Falkirk.
Rangers there for the taking but Falkirk are playing for a point.
Looks like the fans are fed up as well with all the gaps in the crowd.

Bad one that today. First real black mark for Rohl today tbh. Labouring to a draw at home against Falkirk can't cut it under any circumstances. Haven't seen his presser in full but sounds like he's pushing hard for significant movement in January? Good luck with that. A shite window to try and make transformative changes.

That game today was so bad and this squad is so dull it would put a can of Red Bull to sleep.

Rohl keeps picking foreign players who can't cut it when he should be starting Cameron and Curtis.

15,000 season ticket holders didn't even bother attending the match today.
Picking Christmas shopping with the wife over going to see your team shows how bad it is now.

To be fair, it's a bad time of the year; Christmas shopping to compete with. I think our game yesterday didn't sell out either. Being in so-so form wouldn't help, either. For both Rangers and us.

Blame Christmas shopping when December comes along.
Not blaming the fans for staying away.
Agree with them in this case.

Traffic is brutal with those road works and it’s certainly busier passing Braehead or Silverburn. It was bitterly cold today and in all honesty Falkirk is not exactly appealing fixture. My mate , who sits next to me , gave me his season ticket to give away and I struggled. Finally got someone to go about 11-30 today. He wishes he hadn’t bothered.

For a team who have won their last four league games the lack of belief and confidence is frightening. Rangers possibly did enough to scrape the win but Falkirk battled well.

We were talking after the game and my mate who sits in main stand is considering not renewing and he’s had season ticket since late 80s / early 90s. We are all at an age when there are just better ways to spend your time and your money. His season ticket is just over £900 to watch that garbage!

The whole squad is needing rebuilt over the next two windows….

I’d keep

Butland

Tav one more season

Souttar and Cornelius. Possibly Fernandez

Dujon Sterling

Raskin ( but he’s wanting away)

Barron , Cameron , Curtis as they are Scottish

Diomande and Bajrami but would accept any reasonable offer for either
———-
Out

Djiga

Meghoma

Aarons

Moore ( going to be a cracking player wasted at Ibrox)

Asgard

Antman

Miovski

Chemitri

Danilo
Our strikers have scored a combined 7 goals in 27 games!!

Cortes

McAusland

Matondo

Ben Davies

Kieran Dowell

Bailey Rice

Probably missed out some obvious ones but in all honesty I’d not miss any of them other than Tav who’s served the club well and was a standout on the way to Seville

Christmas shopping or the match? Kinell what is wrong with people? Shops are open seven days a weak yet alleged supporters are prioritising shopping.

Genuinely start pushing more of the kids into the squad

Most in that first team squad don’t care about Rangers one bit
Which kids?

It’s so easy to say this but the kids are nowhere near good enough.

McAusland and Curtis are the best and they are not there yet and McAusland is supposedly happy in Cyprus and looking to make that move permanent

Bailey Rice is another always being pushed but miles away from the level we are at.

Alex Lowry was one I thought might have had a chance. Ask the Hearts fans about him. Nowhere near as good as he thinks he is and now flying high at Wycombe Wanderers

We had a chance in 2012/13 to play kids but it was obvious even at that level they were not good enough!!

Keep reading a lot of comments from Rangers fans about the team selections and subs being crazy and baffling, red flags from Rohl already etc. Really don't know what the fans expect at this time. The squad is sung. We all know it. Whichever team Rohl goes with someone will have an issue with it somewhere because there really isn't a single player who has made any one position their own. Some of the players being mentioned as not having enough of a chance, Lyall Cameron being a prime current example...does him coming into the team suddenly transform us? Absolutely not. Bajrami started at the weekend for the first time in ages and I did think he looked more positive but this was still a game where we rarely if ever looked like scoring. Against Falkirk at home.

We're a mess and anyone expecting a marked improvement under Rohl without him having a transfer window to make some kind of inroad into shaking things up a bit, it's just not realistic.

The previous regime have done an awful lot of damage to the overall quality of this squad and it was inadequate last season. To spend what's been spent and make us significantly worse still? Takes some doing, that.

This is absolutely no time to be bringing kids into the equation. Throwing them into this environment now would be the ruining of them.

You can add that our strongest CB pairing were both injured on international duty and the one player that had improved , Mickey Moore, is also out injured

I think it’s pretty obvious Rohl has been giving everyone a chance to prove themselves and the majority have failed miserably.

January cannot come quickly enough!!

I know, its a difficult situation, especially considering we've signed nothing but trash.

I can’t think of one positive. Possibly Gassama (who I missed on my list of keeps) but other than that who???

And I forgot Jose Cifuentes in the move on list. The amount of wages we are paying out on utter duds is incredible
