City fan suffers broken leg after being attacked at Leeds game

You under estimate the number of tourists and away fans mate
Whilst we're on the same page - the "tourists" will likely decline considerably when things start going wrong.
Even I'm tiring of it but I'll say again, this is a business now - they've been clear from the off that the extra capacity is because they want a CL final

I think there’s a simple and clear picture here, which for me is the club execs despite what they said don’t give 2 shits about the fans and our history and only give a fuck about £’s and shareholder and owner returns.

Wasting your breath , no one a the club cares . It’s all about the money .
Sadly thats throughout the system ...........any club coming through and its fanbase will find that out soon enough ...........about time the football regualtors put an end to these huge prices and make the game affordable to familys rather than looking after gloryhunting pricks ...........these fans are the future and how many are going missing because they are being priced out :( honestly love us to get there (PL ) but if it means the club ripping us off then im happy to plod alonf

I’m at the point where I’d accept a prolonged period of no silverware in exchange for getting my club back.
Interesting take.
There have been a few occasions over the 50 years I've supported the club where we've wanted our club back.
I never envisaged a point where we would be successful and asking for the same thing.
Strange times eh????

club need to cancel all 3rd party tickets thats have been sold for all games, especially the Galatasary game.

they need to cancel and refund all tickets bought by those with brand new matchday memberships and start from scratch.

I see the blue who has been badly injured is in Tameside hospital waiting on an operation (x screenshot)

'Tis football now - and I don't see a way back tragically.
I've just responded to someone saying, in essence, they'd like us to ST0P winning stuff so we can get back to who we were.
I just don't see it

We are 18 months into that and the empty seats are already visible. Obviously Leeds took up some of the slack on Saturday but if it had of been someone like wolves or Fulham it would have been a lot more viable with no away fans taking up the slack and a few more tourists willing to give it a miss

Has he said what actually happened? I've missed stuff in the thread especially after being withdrawn and then reinstated I think.

It’s weird, I’ve got two teenage sons aged 19 and 17 both go home (and away when we can) and both City daft, I have always tried to keep them grounded by telling them about the dark days and introducing them to lads who went with me then) and I don’t think they ever quite got it about how it was just as enjoyable but in a different way - they are starting to now

Following reports that a City fan had suffered a double leg break at the hands of Leeds supporters in the home end, City launched an investigation alongside GMP. They directly addressed the incident on social media.

"We are aware of an incident that took place at the Etihad Stadium yesterday between a group of fans," read a statement from Man City Fan Support on X, reports the Manchester Evening News.

"From the information that has been provided to the club by the relevant authorities and through internal investigations, we can confirm that this incident did not involved Leeds fans and that the injuries were nowhere near as serious as the inaccurate rumours which have circulated online. This matter is subject to an ongoing police investigation."

it seems its a big problem throughout the PL so not just city, spurs for example have a matchday texting number and you simply text and grass, five minutes later the stewards drop by and eject them, good idea if its a dick but i wouldnt bother if it was a couple of normal blokes keeping quite
Fuck me, at City that would be the text equivalent of you’re going to need a bigger boat

yes sadly the Genie is out of the bottle, what we have created needs paying for so unless it burns down and we get the insurance to cough up then we continue as we are, pitty the club cant see the light as were putting the finnishing touches to the stand that could have been something like Dortmund's

The thing is, if tickets had been affordable, and tickets had been easier to buy and to transfer through the OS ticket page, we would be selling out every home game without the need to use official ticket touting partners. But because the directors were only interested in increasing match day revenues, they decided to go down the path we are on now as a club, and as a fan base. A path that has and will continue to lead to 1000’s of empty seats, tickets being hard to buy and almost impossible to transfer to friends and family, and away fans buying tickets in the home ends via the clubs official ticket touting partners.

They don't actually care about the club
It's just a name that they have improved beyond anything anyone thought possible.
But that was to generate more money.
And promote abi Dhabi.
As brilliant as its been witnessing our success.
My mate a stoke fan was right years ago.
We sold our arse

Khaldoon.

Asked about the issue in an interview with City’s in-house media channel, Al Mubarak said: “Yes, I think this is a very important question. This has been a relationship built on trust between the fans and the club. And that trust comes both ways.

“I think this issue on ticketing is no doubt something that has… I’m not OK with the way it played out.

“I think the management team is working very closely with [fan group] City Matters, addressing and understanding the issues.

“What I’m sure about and I hope this message comes out loud and clear, is that relationship of trust between the fans and the club is the foundation of the success and sustainability of this club.”
