City fan suffers broken leg after being attacked at Leeds game

I can’t wait for the next match. And the one after. And the one after that. And the league cup game. And the champions’ league There is nothing better than going to the match. Nothing.
That's totally fine but only if you haven't had your leg broken in a scrap in the 93:20 lounge ....

Didnt we give Poznan the 3rd tier of the Kippax aswel for that reason. UK based Poznan fans

I thought we should do the same for this. Makes sense and stops any issues. Allocate the away end and also do a UK based Gala fans allocation
Maybe the club should make the whole ground apart from 3k fir away fans completely for city fans as it should be.
Fuck who were playing.
That's our ground.

The ticket support account on Twitter stated that ‘the incident was not as serious at looked’

It’s been posted on here.

I am Sat in south stand level 2. There was a couple of Leeds fans sat in the 9320 hospitality seats and they celebrated when they scored the second.

In all seriousness what is the answer here?

For those older than me, did away fans in home seats happen before we started selling tickets on third party websites?

I suspect it did ..... think back to the 200 rags in the North Stand 1989 ..... or the West Ham crew in the Main Stand, either 80s or 70s ..... and God knows how many Chelsea fans were in home seats 'that Friday night' at Maine Road ..... and there have been other games too.

Soriano, Wilson etc you have wrecked the fanbase fabric of the club at our most successful time. You have sacrificed proper loyal fans and new younger fans and brought in the half and half tourists instead, and now the away fans are following in more and more numbers. The club will now never be what it was because of you, you shameless profit seeking fuckers, and next time Pep puts his hand to his ears requesting more vocal support perhaps you can tell him why, you shameful cunts
He did exactly the same thing at Barcelona. Obliterated their local, match going support base and chased tourists

50 Bradford Ointment in the North Stand seats, a 7ft Irish United fan with hands like shovels in windy corner

I hope the City fan is recovering well.
However could I ask a quick question please. Originally it was stated a fan was ‘beaten senseless’ and, as I read it, another had his leg broken but we have only heard about the broken leg. So was a fan beaten senseless or is this the exaggeration the club has posted about therefore not exactly lying as implied/stated but trying in a crack handed manner to explain?

I have read all the posts in this thread I think (amazing what you do to relieve the boredom of lying in a hospital bed!) and couldn’t make out whether two people had two different injuries, or one person had a broken leg after being beaten senseless. Sorry.

Also, without trying to be a sycophant I can only say what happened to me when I was at an away match in London and assaulted by a City fan and ignored by the London stewards and police but when I reported it to City on my return they contacted me within the hour and were extremely supportive as was @Ric on here.

I guess we can only speak as we find. The person who contacted me within the hour was Danny Wilson. Take that as you like but this is why I stick up for him. JMHO

Hopefully I do not offend anyone but I have to be honest. :-) :-)

EDIT: If it was two people I hope the second one gets well soon as well. :-)

it seems its a big problem throughout the PL so not just city, spurs for example have a matchday texting number and you simply text and grass, five minutes later the stewards drop by and eject them, good idea if its a dick but i wouldnt bother if it was a couple of normal blokes keeping quite

I was in the home end at Newcastle the other week with a couple of city mates, and nobody in black and white said boo to a goose to us .. i was also in the Holte End when we played at Villa Park this season .... i have been in every stand at Old Trafford over the years ..... they will usually only kick off if you go drawing attention to yourself ... you just have to 'play the game' for an hour an half, and don't make a right c#nt of yourself!

How did that work out for them?
Indeed. But I guess it depends which way you look at it. The lad in India/china/America who has never, and will never go to a game isn’t arsed. He sits on the internet saying his club are huge and that they have the biggest stadium and biggest fan base because of shirt sales or instagram followers. Buys all the shirts though and all that.

The bloke who lives in or around Barcelona that was fucked off and got out of the habit of going because he can only get a ticket when they play Osasuna or Elche hates Soriano’s guts. Look at the swing in their home attendances. Granted, the data isn’t great since they left the nou camp but see beforehand. There is a 30k difference based on the high profile games.

It’ll happen here too. We don’t need an extra 8000 seats at the Etihad, not yet anyway. As has been said we need sensible prices for local kids to come with a parent or relative or friends parent so we can lock them in and no touting websites being given permission to sell to whoever they like whilst season ticket holders can’t bring their kid’s mate because he hasn’t got a membership number.

You'd be easy to spot at the swamp because of your Mancunian accent though.

I've been in a few away ends in my time but you often get sussed because you don't sing or cheer at the right times. Ss you say if you're humble and don't celebrate if you score you're usually left alone.
