It was abandoned at 2-6 so effectively it didnt happen

To throw a 2-6 lead away Luton won have had to score 4 goals they didn’t

The match was replayed and City lost 1-3

Certainty not happened in the last 50 years. Can’t even think of anything close to it happening before tonight.

Probably about 90% of our 4 goal leads over the last 50 years, have been in the last decade anyway.

If it has ever happened it would have been back in the days when everyone played 4-2-4 and most games finished about 7 all.
 
Tremendous feeling of nostalgia last night. Just like the old days when even with a four goal lead you couldn’t relax. I’m not sure exactly wtf happened last night, but it reminded me of some of the games under Mark Hughes, where every time we defended a corner, we conceded. Weekend could be painful.

Reminded me of my playing days on Houghend when everyone tried getting on the scoresheet
 
One wonders how far ahead we need to be with 33 mins to go to not escape with a win due to a goal line clearance in the last minute?

While we LOOK like we have a bench, its names that are of no use when our backs are to the wall.

We are in serious need of some steel in the middle of the park! It’s hard to imagine a team that is second in the table with ONE defensively minded midfielder that can start a game…and two months ago half the fans would have volunteered to turf him out!

When we were under the cosh, it was almost terrifying to look at the bench and think Cherki for Reijnders was a suitable substitution!

Is there NO-ONE in our world class Academy that can run around and put in a tackle in the 30 yards between our box and the halfway line?! Feel like we have shipped a fair few of those kind of young talents in the last few seasons. No idea if any of them would be one, but we are in desperate need of something in there.

Yep and Law was deprived of the record for career FA CUP goals by the abandonment.

I'll start looking... I do know about a game where we had a 3-0 lead in first 30 mins and lost 5-4. It was regarded as the game of the season (not by City fans though!). You can read about it here:

Not many 5-5 games in the Pl either only Rags last away match with Ferguson in charge at WBA.

It was 3-0 in 30 minutes but Newcastle came back before we scored the 4th.
