Not trying to be a downer, but it really starting to feel like we're about to see the final few months of Rodri wearing the beautiful sky blue.

It has just been a relationship that has felt off between him and the club now for a few months, and with no news of a contract extension in sight it just feels like he will play for Spain in the USA this summer then make his way to Madrid for hopefully around 90-100M.

Hope I'm wrong, but just doesn't look great.
Lol you aren't getting £100m out of Madrid for a player who hasn't played for 18 months and at that stage will only have a year left on his contract.

One for the pessimists like @Ric : Sunderland haven't beaten us at home since January 1998.

An XI of our players who weren't born then -

Donnarumma; Nico, Gvardiol, Khusanov, Nunes; Nico, Reijnders, Foden; Doku, Haaland, Cherki.

Bench: Trafford, Lewis, RAN, Bobb, Marmoush, Lewis.
Makes me realise just how old both me and my offspring are!!

30 or 40m, tops.
If he has a decent second half of the season and regains fitness, which most times an ACL recoverer does, then should get far more than that for him. But either way, he needs to either sign a new deal or we need to shift him next summer.

Haha, i am truthfully still looking at the bottom 3.... 17 points to go

Good luck tomorrow mate.

I don't really mean that but I am being polite and if boasting bites me on the arse you can't quote me tomorrow after 5 :)

It all depends on how much Sunderland have left in the tank following Wednesday night but it still is not going to be any easier in getting the points. Our game management needs to better.

Question that stared in the press conference with “Rayan Alt-Nouri came in in the summer and cost a fair amount of money…”
Pep bursts out laughing.
Pep knows.

I think it took him a time to understand the complexities(ha ha) of OUR media, and now he knows the questions before they arrive, I'm sure he would prefer the dentist.

I'd rather keep a.fully fit Rodri as he will be immense in passig on his knowledge to youngsters. I'm sure Pep would prefer him for another season also.

Sunderland have scored 8 equalisers or winners after the 80th minute of the game this season. They’ve scored 5 after 90mins!

They’re a fit team who keep going to the end.

If he wins the World Cup in America while leading Spain to the title we better not accept anything less.

I don’t want to get the thread off topic.
Just getting nervous with this lack of clarity surrounding him the past few weeks with this nagging injury.

It just feels off.

that should work well tomorrow then as we only seem to be able to play the first half

Hopefully we are at least 5 up at half time then to give us something to hang on to during our usual 2nd half collapse
