Cherki is a weird player. So much talent but he doesn’t get above walking pace. He’s like one of these old fellas, who you can tell was a good player 30 years ago but hasn’t got the legs anymore.

Playing well so far. Particularly impressed with Cherki, Gonzalez, O'Reilly, and Dias. Maybe could do with speeding things up in open play but we're controlling it well.

Sunderland look a bit tired and overawed - so far anyway. Their shape is fine but their passing out from the back has lacked accuracy and speed.

Long way to go though as Leeds and Fulham proved. No need to change anything yet but we have no idea how Sunderland are gonna approach the second half.

Hope we don’t push up to far and get caught out with the ball over the top of Dias

That's why Pep is reluctant to start him away from home in my opinion.

If we are up against it we look like we are playing with 10.

He is our most creative player though.

i would give 25mins to Ait Nouri and Marmoush before they start to feel frozen out. surely we dont keep them fit for Afcon on purpose...
others will play shit load anyway while they are away so bit of rotation makes sense now.

Almost same amount of touches as the two CMs(Nico g and Silva) combined and this is your take.
He's running the game and as a result that is the most comfortable we've looked in a while.
