The film part that disturbed you for life...

I found the “subliminal cuts” in The Exorcist disturbing when I first saw it as a young ‘un.

The whole tone of Texas Chainsaw Massacre made it a film I wish I hadn’t seen as young as I did.
 
Which film is that from, just out of interest?
I've never been able to explain it, but there's something peculiarly creepy about someone looking through a window at you, smiling and beckoning in a clearly malignant way. I can think of several films where it's been used (particularly by Polanski in The Tenant).

A dark film.
I remember watching that with my sister and mother. When it finished, I jumped up off the couch, and immediately went into full Richard Attenborough mode (I like to imitate actors). My mother cried out, “You see who he identifies with!” We all three burst out laughing, and then went off to make a brew in the kitchen.
It was a fair cop. At least he wasn't a loser, unlike all the others. Well, in a manner of speaking…
So you gassed your neighbour and then raped her!
 
After the joys and laughs in The Jungle Book, watching Bambi was a hard watch as a 5 year old when his mother was shot. That stayed with me quite a long time…..well it felt so at the time

Schindler’s’ List also moved me a lot much later in life.

I also found the murder if Diane Keaton’s character in Looking for Mr Goodbar quite shocking in my teens, especially as it was based on a true story.
 
Pink Floyd- The wall
Watched it numerous times from a young age , was well into my lsd in the 90's and was warned about the strength of micro dots, had 4, watched the wall was traumatised by it for years and was unable to watch it for a long time after
