Great effort. We were sleepwalking until the equalizer but were a much better team than them afterwards. Good scrappy win.

Reffing was so bad. Doku had 0 protection all game. Rudiger, Valverde and Carrerras could/should have been double yellow'd. Jude should've had a yellow on the tackle on Nunes before rudiger fouled Savio.
 
I think playing Madrid away is a completely different beast from playing them at home. It’s always difficult to go there and a point is usually a good result.

Up until we scored I thought we were incredibly poor. However, once we scored we were the better side. The fact we ground out a result, relying on set pieces is a positive for me. You need that grittiness to go far in competitions.

Cherki, both Nicos and Doku were fantastic. Nunes put in a solid shift and Marmoush and Savio put in some decent cameos.
 
Brilliant result but fuck me, Pep set us up to give us as much of a handicap as possible there. Feel like we win that game by 3/4 and possibly more if we didnt play exactly how they wanted us to play.

If that was the dippers/united/arsenal we would all be suggesting they were trying to throw that game with the way Pep set us up. Bloody awful from Pep but great individual performances got him off the hook. Doku, magnificent. Nico holding the midfield on his own, Nunes and O'Reilly brilliant, Gvardiol rock solid, a number of the less established players really stepping up and leaving their mark tonight. Should give us a lot of confidence going into the Christmas period.
 
What a referee. They are a bunch of cheats . Players back immediately the pitch after treatment... more dives than the swimming Olympics , unpunished dirty play all game To come away from there with a win is epic . And no injuries is great too .


Much better with no commentary . If I heard it once about how depleted they are , how Harland hadn't touched the ball , how we'd lost so many etc etc . Id heard it a hundred times .

The post match analysis is like a funeral ...all dressed in black ffs
