Didnt ignore it, didn't see it but could have ignored the VAR but gave the Pen.

Doku knows what he does and is brilliant at drawing a foul he was fine.
 
That team in that stadium are a difficult job for any referee. The moment they lose the ball, the players go down. Time and time again they plead for fouls because they lost the ball. The crowd bays for cards, and the players spend the game in the ref's ear. A truly horrid team to play against with player ego and entitlement the size of their nation.

He racked up the yellows for them at the end which probably looks good on the stats but missed obvious yellows for tactical fouls that Foden got booked for in the first 10 mins.

- Valverde lunged in on Doku, nowhere near the ball and dangerous, he played on and never went back to give the yellow.
- Asencio tactical foul on Doku, no yellow.
- Bellingham tactical foul on Doku, no yellow.
- Rudiger blatant 2nd yellow for the worst of the tactical fouls, nothing. Compare that to O'Reillys on Rodrygo and tell me that is consistent?

These yellows are so important because they then give Doku even more space.

Clement Turpin is a good ref but he was shite tonight.

They were both yellows though, they stopped momentum. The right calls by our lads and no chance of hurting the oppo'

Madrid the only team to fall over, pick up the ball, then the ref awards the free kick. Must be an awful place to play and try and ref a game. They're like the rags on steroids. No wonder every **** in Spain hates them.

Can't see just have one match without somebody having to whinge about something?

I think you have a point about the Doku could but it's nothing we didn't expect and you're never going to change it. Let's just for once enjoy a fantastic win FFS.

I don’t know what game you watched tonight mate, it wasn’t the City game if you thought the ref had decent game.
 
I thought those three subs Pep made together was going to backfire spectacularly, and tbqh we lost our way when it happened. I could understand Foden and Erling but not Cherki he was looking a threat
