Then his lone midfield man defensive work. Just a brilliant all round performance...How many times we said that this season now? Becoming the norm

Only thing he needs to work on which Rodri has mastered is the old know when to hold em fold em high press. Not got the pace to recover so has to make sure he gets it right more often. Otherwise perfect.

Easy to forget he's only been with us since early February this year. He's absolutely class!!!

Hopefully you’re correct in your assessment, and I agree, as at the moment Nico, is playing as a one in midfield, where as Rodri always had Gundogan who would drop and cover. This lad is “TOP” and will only get better as time passes. Waiting until Rodri comes back to full fitness and Nico can play in his preferred position “8” alongside Rodder’s with Foden/ Cherki/ Duku and Haaland/ Marmoush ahead of them will be unbeatable!

However, we need a ball playing central defender who can see everything in front of him, instead of only seeing the player next to them.
I love Dias as an out and out blood and thunder defender, but he cannot continue as first choice going forward.

Rodders had Kev as an outlet also. This is a different set up altogether, and he's smashing it so far.
