Cherki. Closely followed by Nunez. Shocking first half but somehow went on 1 up. Cherki always a threat and always causing mayhem. Nunez, what a ball(again) for Haalands header and he defended like his life depended on it. Gvardiol much better today too.

I said Cherki in the match thread but after thinking about it, Nunes deserves it. One or two others played well though, Donnarumma made a couple of good saves and came out for a couple of corners, The big, blonde bombshell of course. After Real Madrid in midweek, this was going to be a testing game and if you said we would win both matches, I wouldn’t have believed it. A fantastic week for us City fans. COYB.

Based on the whole game, not the first half there was a few candidates. I thought Nunes, Nor and Cherki were very impressive, Bernie put so much work in. Erl was Erl just brilliant a goal monster and Donna played well.went for Cherki.

Cherki got a dirty late foul in the first half which took him a few minutes to get over. Glen Murray said the Palace player was only slightly late - so that's alright then. Cherki was by far the classiest player on the pitch

I thought the team looked knackered after the last week of games. Really dug in, could have been a couple of goals down but Nunes' cross and Erl's bonce did the business. Nunes was a Trojan, Cherki is the baller's baller, Philadelphia was great in the second half, along with the Nico boys. Gvardiol was also excellent, Erl stone cold for the pen. Impressive few days for the Blues.
