25 | Gianluigi Donnarumma - 2025/26

When he flapped at that cross, the commentator on French tv referred to it as a ,Donnarumma Special‘ …
Pros outweigh the cons, but he really could do with improving on that.
The amount of times he misses a punch or punches it straight to the opposition is scary. I'm ok with the lack of elite distribution if he can command his area better for corners etc.

Straight from the kick off in first half we played it back to him and he stuck it out for a throw in on the half way line, second half he makes a world class save that is potentially match winning. And that pretty much sums him up, i guess it depends what you want from your goalkeeper. I am happy with him for now despite not wanting to sign him initially.
So miss places a pass or makes a world class save ? Fuck me some people on here !

What was the world class save? By my reckoning he didnt make a save all night as Madrid only had a single shot on target, which went in.

Hes talking about the Sunderland game, and hes right

Donnarumma is more than the sum of his parts, the defence is becoming a unit again, and they trust him

All that matters is we concede less goals than we used to, in the same way Haaland 'could do more' in general play, but then goes and scores the equalizer in the Bernabeu

His save % on last 4 games, didn’t seem great.

But, the eye test sees a world class keeper.

Him and Haaland (26 and 25), could be part of an epic spine.

HIs organisation and presence is excellent....

Needs to work on his catching though...

One very good punch out but there was a second that he punched when he should have caught.....

Shot stopping is not even a debate however....excellent.

No. Not at all, my point which most people seemed to get was that what you lose on his distribution he makes up for with his shot stopping….simple point really that clearly went over your head

Very good hand when he came out against Mateta. Mateta gave him a chance but he had to get that spot on and did exactly that. Only thing of note he had to do really with some more flapping mixed in. Goalkeeper coach surely has to be having him come and take crosses every single day, we really need for him to be claiming at least some of them.

Centre backs taking the goal kicks has been a thing for several games now, we obviously don't have confidence in him passing out but i noticed today that Nico even took his long goal kicks which is a first by my recollection. His kicking is proper toilet but he surely doesn't need somebody to hoof it for him, could that be an injury? Let's hope not.

If we are going off a 50% save rate, it isn’t fair. A 50% save rate is saving a penalty and the striker tapping in the rebound

Whilst 50% is accurate, it doesn’t tell the story

He’s fucking mint. Would be better with Stones infront of him but he can win us games/trophies

Hes a world class goalkeeper, thats the bottom line

He may not be the best with the ball at his feet or be the "best goalkeeper" in the world (he could be, if he's not top then he's top 3) but he is undeniably world class and thats what matters

Massive signing for our present and future, hes still so young for a keeper
