To be fair Nora Ephron's original script had them not getting together. Reiner rewrote it because he fell in love during the filming - with the woman who became his wife and has also been murdered - and wanted something more optimistic. Which is a pretty sweet story.

One thing that was amazing about Reiner was his versatility. In a six year period he directed This is Spinal Tap, Stand By Me, When Harry Met Sally, The Princess Bride and A Few Good Men. Five very different films all excellent in their own way. It's such a sad loss.

Thing with it is that it probably is BUT with that **** in charge it will be strangled for its people and a few elites will do well and gaslight. Here in the UK we have Starmer on whom the jury is definitely out but just about all of what is being done benefits those at the bottom likely at the expense of the top yet in both cases its hard to move the dial and in both cases those at the bottom love the one who is harming them or hate the one who is helping them .......... power of the media
 
I haven’t really needed further convincing that Trump is total scum ever since he openly mocked a disabled reporter over a decade ago.

77 million people voted for this man and in doing so have tacitly approved of his behaviour. They approve of mocking the dead, the disabled, veterans etc. All of it. This is who those people are. Every single one of them.

There will still be otherwise normal people who will make excuses for him and celebrate that he’s upset some libs although they’ll keep a low profile for a day or two.

You have to wonder who these people are, trying to normalise this behaviour. That’s when you understand that at least 25% of any population condones this.

And, because they do, or have done the things that he does.

Pretty sick when you think about it.

They haven’t done the things he does because most of them recognise the constraints of the law whereas Trump thinks he is the law.

Because he's not hurting THEM, and they largely agree with his ideologies, either through ignorance or because they are racist, misogynistic and all round vile cunts themselves.

Jurisdiction is going to be an issue given that the program in question was exclusively broadcast in the UK, and if he wanted to sue in the UK, the statute of limitation has expired.

Basically he can get fucked.

That he maintains the support of so many, still, is a terrifying statement about society. He is, for me, the greatest danger to western civilisation. Not only is a capable of stirring violent division, he sets an example how it can be used to claim power.
