It has always happened at some places like Madrid which is very strict and Monaco (the first time) where there were random checks. Places like Lokeren and Plzen where lots of our fans jibbed in are few and far between.Hang on, they are expecting you to take your passport to the ground to be checked before entry to the game.
When i travel anywhere it gets locked in a safety deposit box, certainly wouldn’t be taking it anywhere near a day on the piss and a late kick off even for non drinkers still a big risk with pickpockets.

I took 2 tickets over for a blue who'd moved out there ten years ago for the semi final the year we won the title, him and his wife got in despite her not even being the same sex as the name on the ticket, they were both fluent in Spanish quick chat with security and in, a case of not who you know but what you know.Four of us were at the game and I made sure that we all had photo driving licenses with us which matched our names on the tickets. As others have said all checked which a UV light as well to ensure the tickets hadn’t been changed.
When applying for the tickets passport numbers also had to be provided which I think is actually a requirement for any fan attending the stadium, home or away.
The reason being is I went to a Madrid home game in September and had to provide my passport number on that occasion but was issued a digital ticket. However no ID checked at the point of entry.
Why they can’t do that in the away end I’m not sure?
There was also a bloke at the airport on the way who had taken his lad. Probably about 9 or 10? However the ticket he had for his lad didn’t have his name on. Just hope they let them in?
Football fans have always found ways of getting into big games since the game was invented I reckon, guess you could just say in your defence I went forgot to take my ID club would be hard pressed to pursue you on that one.So, if not fluent in Spanish and names don't match you wouldn't get in and if you were turned away the original ticket
purchaser then automatically gets emailed under investigation for contravening T&C's and likely suspended til investigation completed and then facing serious sanctions if found guilty? Do we have any idea of the numbers involved.

In Italy and Spain it’s illegal not to carry ID at anytime,probably other countries too, I got stopped on holiday in Italy just waiting for a train and the police wanted to see passports which we didn’t have with us. You’re probably right on that last point. However I do think when pep leaves and we have the inevitable period of not winning trophies most of the glory hunters will disappearI think you make a good point, and perhaps I am being a touch melodramatic/hyperbolic, however I would say that City are building their 'fan' base for the future, and the future is tourists.

Yep, it is ..... if the club refused to play ball, these ticketing agencies wouldn't be able to get their hands on the amount of tickets that they do ...... the trouble is the club don't want to stop it going on, and neither do venues that host pop concerts, WWE etcI’d argue the club are the biggest touts going. Look at some of the ticketing websites that sell tickets for ridiculous prices or I’ll see rows of empty seats in north stand level 1 - it’s because of the club
I've not speculated that it will continue, I've asked how the poster, knows it wont.The very thought of continued success post-Pep is pure speculation too.
