Brentford (H) | EFL Cup | Post Match Thread

Bit surprised that Brentford didn’t have more of a go at us tonight, particularly in the first half before we got going.

The way things are going, I would think there’s a decent chance that Frank is back there before the end of the season.

I do think Khusanov was a little lucky to remain on the pitch, one of those where you can argue either way. He needs to cut out his propensity to dive in and hang a leg out from his game, he has the pace to not need to do that.
He did exactly that after the booking, thought he was excellent from then on.

Him and Dixon supposedly boyhood blues. Wtf has gone wrong since with these pair of cunts
Know them both - Dixon is twisted because he was rejected by City when John Bond got rid of all the Burnley youth team - his dad was an ex City keeper and was promised that he'd be signed but Benson renaged and he went to Chester. Hinchcliffe hates City because they let Kendall sell him to Everton (Kendall sold him again when he became Everton manager.)

Went a lot easier than I expected, Cherki is class, him and Foden ran the show. Savinho was better I think he’s stronger on the left, nice cameo for Nunes playing a bit in midfield as well.
Take Palace next with Fulham in the Final.

Can you ask hinchcliffe to just stop doing City games please, he talks bollocks in all the games he covers, but he goes up a level with City.

I’d say to Hinchcliffe have you ever listen back to any of your commentary? And did it annoy you that the kunt never shut up and a know it all!?

Lady Luck smiled on us early on because I think Khusanov should have walked but after that he played very well.

Perfect evening really. Well done Blues.
He was certainly lucky. Had an awful first half. Looked better in the second half. He’s a long way from first team ready at the moment. Has a big second half of the season or he may be on his way out.

He’s only 21, how many 21 year olds are staring at centre half week in week out in the prem.

He needs to be patient and so do the fans.

Solid professional performance but a very forgettable game other than the fantastic goal, and cherki's effort...

Job done, good rotation, as much rest as possible for a lot of key players, plenty of peripheral players given the chance to perform. Shame for Bobb hopefully not too serious.
