Second half he was fantastic, covered our arse numerous times but there is no hiding the fact he should have been sent off, and that likely costs us the game. He's very lucky VAR wasn't in use.
Its not the first time he's made an extremely rash tackle like that and won't be the last. He won't ever be a top centre back until he learns to cut that out of his game. With pace like his, he doesnt even need to be doing it so it shouldnt be difficult to learn.
All footballers benefit from playing regularly, it's excusable to be a bit off every now and again, especially if its your first start in a while like his tonight but that excuse won't remain valid forever. Too players have to learn to perform at the highest level right away.
