Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

I doubt Pep would leave before his contract is up, but there may well be things we are not aware of (personal matters, mental fatigue, and so on).

I think he looks in a much better form now than 2-3 months ago, but it's hard to tell how he feels. Maybe he isn't sure he can endure another season.
I've always thought this was going to be his last season. My sense is that he signed a longer contract just so talking about his exit it doesn't become a distraction.

But if he builds this team up this year, im not so aure hed want to leave the season before they are potentially purring.

But if he hits a double trophy or the CL, i think he walks :(

You've changed your tune from earlier this year when you the game had left him behind!
I’m going to assume even you can see that he has changed the team, both in structure and stature, to do EXACTLY what I said was needed.

In fact, even the commentator mentioned it in the last game…City look much bigger, stronger and faster than they did last season.

Thanks for playing and keeping track of the changes.

Amongst others, you repeatedly argued that the game had changed and he wasn't capable of keeping up with it.

I'm sure you know that was my point.

He was ALWAYS “capable,” but wasn’t showing the desire. I think we can all see that has changed. That’s why I called it Pep 3.0 in the original comment.

If you need to feel like you “got me,” then feel free. I have nothing on the line here, but I did want to see him change a system that had been cloned by even teams in the lower leagues. We have the players now who are younger, faster, and covering more ground than ever. THAT is where the game was going and the “old guard” wasn’t capable of that. This squad, with an exception or two, seems considerably better at it.

And, not for nothing, I think Pep2 may well be instrumental and bringing some of that to the team.

So you misjudged him and the situation and jumped to the wrong conclusion. No shame in that we all get it wrong sometimes.

Whatever helps you sleep at night!

I called him out on what I was seeing and he has changed…and certainly not because of anything I said!

I said it last season, too… repeatedly… that we needed more size, strength and speed. We have brought that to our game this year, possibly with the arrival of Pep2, who was part of Klopp’s gegenpress.

Anyway, glad to see we have changed to meet the challenges we were unable to address last season, and very happy to see that Pep seems re-energized by this current rebuild and evolution.

There is only 1 candidate to replace Pep when he goes, and there will be an uproar if it doesn't happen............................................................Leslie Mark Hughes, unfinished business and all that
Yep, these clean sheets need cutting out.

Don’t really care that much but there were too many that weren’t even prepared to give Pep the opportunity to rebuild. After all he’s achieved in the game let alone with us that seemed pretty stupid then and has proved to be very stupid.

Pep reads your posts, I think.
