Thank christ for that. We got the fortune of dodging a bullet with the betting scandal so glad to see the possibility of entertaining going back in for him is being removed.

Hides when you need him, flatters to deceive, massive shithouse (in the old sense of going down at every opportunity) and frankly nowhere near good enough for us. Him being available for loan and only Villa showing late interest shows his level.
 
If there is any chance I would sign him. Top class in the first half and I think he would fit us like a glove. He is the type of player that would step up a level with better players around him
 
Baffled people can’t see his footballing ability. Playing in a terrible side, the guys a starter for Brazil in the centre of the park. Superb technique, good physical presence and would go up levels playing in a good side.

He would ease the pain of possibly losing both Silva and Kovacic in the summer, and in those more physical games (e.g. Newcastle), he would bring much needed physicality. However, given Chelsea’s glaring need for more maturity, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see them target him.

What with his 38% dribbles completed and 78% passing completion. Add that to the questionable character. He's exotic Youri Tielemans.
