Can I ask a question: if that long throw had bounced in over the keeper, would it have counted - can you score direct from a thrown-in (I seem to recall from years ago it would be NO).

I was never sure. His reaction suggested either he did or that he didn’t know the rules!

No wouldn't have counted but if Kepa got a glove on it and it went in then it would have.

I was never sure. His reaction suggested either he did or that he didn’t know the rules!

Wouldn't be surprised if he didn't know it. One of those rarely references laws. If he'd known it, and had a quick mind, he could've influenced the ref to believe that he didn't touch it.
