Antoine Semenyo | Prefers to join City - Ornstein (p73)

I’d lead them down the garden path.
Let them think it’s all good and let them agree terms.
Then when it comes to signing the contract remind them of when they attacked our bus, when they threw coins at Pep, when they threw a weighted pint pot at the crowd hitting a girl.

Call them scum and tell them to go fuck themselves… but in a professional tone.
Or say he's yours for £150m

I mentioned them because you were quoting many examples from a similar era.
The only true failure we've had recently was Phillips.
I also pointed out that other teams are playing premier league imports with success.
We also need Association trained players in our squad. Is your answer to buy them from the Championship?
I agree PL players tend to command a premium fee compared with players from other leagues but you need a certain number for a full squad . The fee does not make them intrinsically poor players, in fact I suspect the average standard of player in the PL has never been higher
when we have gone to mainland Europe and even South America in the last 8-9 years we’ve had much more success overall. we should stick to that plan.

Dias, Rodri, Cancelo, Gvardiol, Akanji, Donarruma, Haaland, Cherki, Alvarez, Gonzales, Doku

not yet ‘successful’ are Reijnders, Marmoush, Khusanov. but i think by the end of next season all might well be positive.

Flopping the bed are i suppose Torres but hardly a disaster given he was sold at profit

Proved my point
I am so sorry that you suffer with literacy problems, but these were the words I used as well you know,

"The lad so far this season has been exceptional for his club and you class him as poor/shit/not good enough, whatever language you wish to use, then my instincts tell me you have seen very little of him to pass your so called judgement on him".

No doubt you`ll want to have the last word to try and twist a losing battle you have, so I`ll pass on your next fumbled attempt to try and make yourself look clever.
Unfortunately that will never happen so I bid you a farewell and let mummy tuck you up in bed later tonight as I know you`re very exited in seeing what Santa will have brought you in the morning.

I have no objection to signing players from elsewhere and they have always been a majority in the squad, however you are only allowed 17 overseas players so you will always require association trained players and the likes of Stones Walker and Ake have been integral to our recent success. We cannot ignore PL players.

Hes been floating around right midfield/ right wing quite a bit & linking up with Nunes & Cherki.

Love what Berny has done for the club but its frustrating to see him trying to take on the fullback, then stopping and checking back inside
He's been our deepest lying midfielder this season apart from Nico. I get that he gets about the pitch and pops up on the right but Semenyo isn't coming in to play that role

Stones, Walker, Sterling, Joe hart?

Hes played a lot on the right which has been great when we start games on the front foot, when going forward & has mainly ended up playing deeper when we've need to sure the midfield up as we are getting overrun
