Antoine Semenyo | Prefers to join City - Ornstein (p73)

the other one was not a success. not for £100m
Not signing players on the basis of their nationality isn't rational its superstition like deciding on the basis of their star sign or eye colour. Some English based players have worked some haven't .
Whether Semenyo works or not depends on his qualities not on his nationality. (Ghanaian for footballing purposes.)

Of course he was a success we won the treble and he played a massive roll in that. You could argue we would’ve won it without him but I doubt it as he was fucking mint especially the back end of the season.

7 trophies. 3 league titles in a row including a treble. What more do you want!?

Honestly some of our fans will never ever be happy.
Some fans seems to think a winger scoring 15 goals but not doing enough to make his team win anything is better than a winger scoring 5 goals and contributing to his team winning everything.

Yes, but there are three sets of rules which constrict partly by citizenship e.g. home grown list.

By this logic Mendy was a fantastic signing. 14 trophies! 4 in a row!

Grealish greatly underwhelmed based on what we thought he’d do when he was signed for the fee he was signed for. This shouldn’t be hard to accept. He contributed a lot to the treble which is why it wasn’t a complete disaster, but trying to rewrite it as a success when he’s shipped out on loan before 30 is mental.

Me and you enough to reply. The singular is impersonal and shite and the most important English speaking country is the one the team is located in and also happens to be one that invented the fucking language.

A team should always be a they, not an it.
Correct. While the singular is technically correct, the convention in the UK is that there are certain exceptions eg for sport clubs and performers/bands etc. This is commonplace even in most media style books

What are you talking about?
Read your own quote. It was you that posted it.
You also said he played 90 , 90 and 79 minutes in those 10 games.
Are those to be ignored.
You can't start picking the bits you like and discarding the bits you don't.
You can do one with the kind of nonsense. What the hell do you think the internet is for??
