Nottm Forest (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Once again guardiol immaculate, he has developed into a rolls royce for us, good on the ball, Quick and covers the left back area. Foden ran the game in the second half. Imprssed with Anderson and Gibbs white but neither up to our standard.
Think having Nico at the side of him has helped Gvardiol massively, looks like he can concentrate on his own game.

Great analysis. Anyone criticising any of our players performances yesterday should watch the match again. Can't stand teams like Forest who like to be physical out of possession. Then hit the deck when it's not going their way. Yesterday the ref was weak and gullable. Dyce's post match comments should not have been taken seriously. Unfortunately it's the narrative that outlets like the BBC are running with
Big hard men off the ball, fannies on it sums up this era of football perfectly. I sometimes think Haaland is the only player on the planet who loves taking it as much as he loves giving it.

Forest tried to bully, intimidate and outmuscle us, and to a certain extent it worked, because we started to give away silly fouls,. especially Nunes and O'Reilly on the flanks.

However despite all Dyche's moaning the ref did well to keep on top of it.

Haven't read this thread yet, but I expect somebody has already mentioned how ridiculous it was for TNT to reduce the main coverage to a picture-in-picture - while the game was still going on - so that Joe Cole could draw lines on a whiteboard? Liked him as a player, but come on?

We should all help to nip this intrusive gimmick in the bud by emailing TNT to tell them.

I mute/don't watch half-time chats, but have they persisted with those ridiculous HT player interviews introduced at the start of the season? I don't remember catching sight of any lately, so maybe that was people power having its effect.

Got this lot up there with Leeds fans self entitlement and bitterness.
Even had the cheek to sing to us where were you when you were shit !
To be fair to them, they've usually kept around 20k attendance when doing shite. But we'd have still filled their ground with our League 1 (today's money) attendances.

In fact, 98/99 season, they were in the PL. We had a higher average attendance than they did.

I hate Forest me, always have even as a kid when that big headed **** was their manager, and today their fans, classless thick cunts, singing you cheating bastards, seemed to have forgotten they’ve actually been done for it and had points deducted, jokers
Where were then when they were really shit >30K in PL <25K in Championship >20K in League 1

I wonder what their own kids think when they see Daddy rolling around and screaming in agony after being tapped?

Nico G goes down too easily for me - whilst the ball is still there to be won - might cost us one day when there's a particularly lenient ref?

Yet another textbook Sean Dyche team. All aggression and physicality yet the biggest shithouses in English football. Bullying one minute, falling to the ground with feigned injury the next.

All topped off with Dyche acting the salt of the earth no nonsense anti woke manager, whilst instructing his team to cheat the way they do. Dyche’s Burnley were exactly the same.

Fair play to MOTD for highlighting MGW cheating. If he had stayed on his feet he could have blocked Cherki’s shot

It has made me laugh seeing Forest fans cry corruption on twitter

If that was the case

Why didnt he give the pen for taking out Cherki after his shot on goal

Book Jesus for waving an imaginary yellow card & then at least book him (2nd yellow) for the knee high challenge on Foden

It was like playing against '80s Wimbledon

Do we think our goal from the corner had been “worked on” ie actually choreographed by the set piece coach?
I have noticed recently that a lot of our corners revolve around trying to isolate Josko in a one on one situation. Presumably he is a better header of the ball than anyone else at a set piece. There was one corner yesterday that was totally over hit but it was aimed at Josko way beyond the far post. I suspect there are some variations but the one yesterday was a definite training ground move.

Love it! Very novel for us to be taking corners seriously.
