Makes sense. In 2-3 years time Bournemouth might have another player we're interested in. Better to keep relationships sweet instead of upsetting other directors by being aggressive. Semenyo being allowed to play these three games this week could get us that Kroupi Jr when he comes of age.

I'm taking a guess that we are keeping an eye on Alex Scott

And if he breaks is leg?? I understand ‘loaning’ him for the Arsenal game but Bournemouth must have accepted aggressive payment terms if City are allowing him to play in this game
Presumably, if he were to break his leg, the transfer would be off.
Also, we could have bought him last weekend and he could have then broken break his leg against Brighton.

If he hasn't actually put pen to paper yet, and a 'broken leg' occurred tomorrow, then he's still a Bournemouth player, albeit an injured one, and would probably remain so until such time as he fully recovers and beyond ..... unless City were still willing to complete the deal ASAP to ward off other clubs

But if he has already put pen to paper, then he's a City player, and should he suffer a broken leg tomorrow i would think it would be our problem to aid his recovery and get him match fit again.

But it's really all guesswork at the moment, as the two clubs remain 'tight lipped' on the deal.

But players playing for us is a chance worth taking. A player breaking his leg, mid deal, is terrible for everyone

It's hardly an ideal situation, I agree, but the two clubs and the player obviously thought it was worth taking the risk to get this deal over the line and maintain as 'happy a medium' as possible, so that's up to them I suppose ...... as fans, we can only watch and wonder until such time that the deal is finally completed, should it go through, and just pray that Seminyo suffers no injury!

Bournemouth fans are probably just as perplexed about the whole thing as we are!

Isn't the Chairman there a blue?

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola says tomorrow's match against Tottenham could be Antoine Semenyo's last game for the club - but adds nothing has yet been signed.

"The chances are it is his last game. But right now there is nothing signed with any club," Iraola says.

More on that to come!
