Injuries 2025/26 | Gvardiol tibia fracture (p59) Dias 4-6 weeks (p70)

From the bbc on John Stones...its such a shame as he was absolutely brilliant in the champions league final 2.5 years ago....surely their is a dr out there who can help?

We know Manchester City have been dealt two significant injury blows with the loss of Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias, but Pep Guardiola has also been speaking about John Stones' injury struggles:

"Of course. He is a really important player for us. For a long time he was injured last season for us and this season apparently it looks like the same.

"He is trying a lot to do everything but he is not fit."

On him being concerned about it being a World Cup year: "You should talk with Thomas Tuchel about that."

Playing marmoush means changing the whole dynamic of the way we play and ait nouri has looked like a liability so far,

I agree, but Pep has to trust them. He has had a say in signing these players at the end of the day.

If we carry on as we are playing the same players, our season will be over by the end of February as they will all be burnt out and/or littered with injuries.

Get through tomorrow, and like it or not wrap the "remaining" first team in cotton wool until we see if we can get a couple in.
Exeter we should beat with a second XI (although I'm not actually sure we have one as it stands) - if that means we play Kalvin so be it, not fair to him but we're paying his wages.
Newcastle, yeah it's a semi final but money wise it's worth nowt - we need the CL money ahead of a trip to Wembley. (Sorry to those who've spent money on it)
Just an opinion

Palmer definitely went in with his studs at one point. The one that injured Gvardiol was actually the least dirty of the lot.
Damage was probably done with the first one, and then the job was finished with the second one.
I did my metatarsal long ago when playing. A **** raked me down with his studs, but I played on, abd eventually they snapped after an innocuous challenge 20 minutes later. I didn't blame the second challenge, I knew the damage was done by the first wanker.

The lack of rotation for months meant this was always gonna happen. Made worse by shambolic recruitment.

We knew a year ago that Stones and Ake are made of balsa and cannot be relied on - yet chose to let Akanji go to Italy and buy 3 central defenders that were miles off being ready to play in the PL.

The chickens have come home to roost with injuries to RD and JG and here we are left with an uncooked Khusa and quicksand Ake (who can’t play twice a week ) as our only options in the most important period of the season playing 10 games in a month.

Why did we not go all out for an elite defender ready for the PL instead of 3 that might be ready in 5 years (2 of which will never start a league game for City).

Neither Khusa nor Ake speak a word on the pitch - them as a partnership is a disaster waiting to happen.

Because Pep wanted a smaller squad, and is far too loyal in players that have won us stuff in the past, that's why, fucking joke really.

This has been forwarded to the club for their comments :)

Treading on someone’s Achilles doesn’t break a leg half an hour later.
