2-0 away from home is never a bad result.

I've always defended VAR as I think video review used correctly is important. But jesus fucking christ, that was an embarrassment. Imagine the response the internet would have given if we had gotten that kind of decision in our favour.

Great performance all round, never felt like we were going to concede and looked like scoring every time we went forward in the last 20 minutes

Fully deserved at least a two goal lead, and two great team goals as well

Two centre halves were faultless, so cool and calm on the ball

O Reilly and Bernardo of all people stood up to the thugs in the middle, and had them absolutely rattled in the end

Semenyo excellent, I think he'll score and assist week in week out in this side

Great result, and another chance for this group of players to grow together

Didn’t think we played very well first half. Much better second half.
Far more importantly: great character and spirit. So difficult after a decision like that, which was always going to galvanize them and the crowd. The way we stood up to that was impressive.
Khusanov and Alleyne were very good. Bernardo was fucking ace.
Big save by Trafford as well.

Fantastic result. Should have been even better but for some inexplainable bullshit that will inevitably get brushed under the carpet. Hope Pep calls it out and highlights it now that it hasn't had too much of an impact on the tie.

Some great performances all over the pitch. Especially second half, really stepped up after halftime and the subs made a world of difference and revitalised us. Saw some real fight in the side too that frankly we've lacked for a long period and refused to be bullied. A great confidence booster ahead of the derby.

Buzzing with that. All we've got to do now is not fuck it up the second leg and we get a chance to secure a trophy.

You lucky bastards it should have been 3. Classy performance bar the usual daft passes. Doku MOTM for me. Cant leave him out but Haaland did very little. Foden again was poor.

Bad first half. Better 2nd half. Semenyo and Alleyne...two "signings" who look the business.

Deserved win but job not done yet.

Crazy decision to rule out Semenyo's 2nd goal but justice done in the end I suppose with a very good 2-0 win away from home.

Some very positive signs, especially in the 2nd half.

Well done to all who played a part. Not a bad performance between them.
