If city had lost interest in guehi they would be looking for someone else, there playing chicken with Palace on the price, to see who backs down first, Palace have most to lose by missing out on a fee. City playing a risky game when they need a CB. Think guehi will move to city but only if Palace drop their asking price, which I presume is too high.
Who will blink first?
My opinion only.

Makes sense, I agree. Reports today stating that City are looking at other CB options might be part of playing that game. Maybe it's actually Palace playing hard ball with City and not Guehi himself. At Tolmie mentioned yesterday, Marc seems willing to accept a £10m sign on bonus this January rather than £20m in the summer. If that's the case he is definitely up for a transfer. But it's awfully quiet from all transfer journos.

Weve obvoiusly got other plates spinning and after Saturday only Wolves ,Glimt and potentialy a dead rubber Gallatasary to negotiate.
Either a decent poker game or weve moved on.

Alleyne and Reis added to Ruben and Josko takes a lot of that pressure off

Imagine Reis trying to defend a corner against Gabriel, Saliba, Van Dijk, or anyone else physical. He wouldn’t stand a chance imo. I like Reis but I’m just not sure he has the physicality for the league.

We’re going to have a huge issue with home grown players soon. Walker and Grealish have left and I expect Trafford, Stones, Bobb and Ake to leave in the summer.

When you see figures like £80+ million banded about for the likes of Wharton and Anderson and £60+ million for Livramento, it’s a no brainer to try and sign him.
We have Foden, Alleyne, Rico, Nico, Samenyo & Bertenelli, that plus 17 foreign players is a big squad for Pep. We also have the likes of McAidoo and Reigan Heskey who should be first team squad members next season instead of Bobb and Savinho.

He’s 6’1 and pretty similar to Alleyne in stature.

Then you have not watched him play this season.

I haven’t. Have you?
We know Premier League is the most physical league in world football, it’s what every player coming here says.

I’m sure he reads the game well and his passing seem great, but a defender has to defend. I don’t think he has what it takes. But I could be wrong.

Yeah.....those South American leagues are full of fairies...

League 2 is more physical than the Prem FFS!

Sure but we’re talking top leagues. Anyone coming here from Germany, Spain, Italy says the same thing.

If Reis was a winger I wouldn’t care so much about his physique, but as a central defender? I don’t trust he will be able to cope. I think he’ll be sold. I don’t have a problem being wrong, but it’s my belief.

Next season is probably: new CB, Dias, Gvardiol, Khusanov, Alleyne.

Reis wouldn't be defending against arsenal / Liverpool unless Dias, Gvardiol and Khusanov are all injured. Looks more than capable of being a squad player that will improve

I have watched him playing several games for Girona. He is VERY good in the air.

In general, his stats are really good.
He wins 96% of blocks and 80% of aerial duals.

Looks good. If he can keep that up in the prem, I’m all for it!

You say he’s not physical enough but then you say you’ve not seen him play, so how do you know he’s not physical enough?

From watching him play for us. And honestly just watching photos of him, it’s kind of obvious. He’s built more like a teenager than an adult. At least last year.

A bit late then though, last thing we want is gifting those arseholes 3 points! Admittedly we won’t have time to bring anyone in now anyway.
If we can't beat those arseholes defense really won't have been the issue. I think we've run Erl ragged and he's basically been a place holder the last few games.

Id go:

Don
Nunes. Khus. Max. Ake
Rodri. O'Reilly
Cherki. Foden. Doku
Semenyo
