Im so happy this looks to be done. Not only a great signing for the future it really helps with this season in the CL and the title race. Dias/Khusanov/Guehi/Alleyne.

Lets see what happens with Ake now.

I don't imagine Ake goes anywhere until the summer. Dias/Khusanov/Guehi/Alleyne is solid enough but we're only one injury away from disaster again, and boy are we unlucky with injuries!

Ake stays to cover both CB and left back, and probably leaves after the world cup.

I think this is as solid a transfer as you can get.

I know some will try but there's no way to spin this as a risk or bad deal in my opinion.

I kind of hope Gvardiol goes back to full-back where we get more out of his offensive game, which then leaves space for both Reis and Alleyne. Both of them is so good at the ball that they can cover more positions if needed also. We are in a very healthy spot now with so much ambidexterrity and players comfortable in multiple positions, especially defensively

I hope Gvardiol stays at CB. I think any other position is a distraction for him. Let him become one of the best CBs in the world.
